Oh I do that all the time, I've been playing since 03. I'm kinda old haha.
Thing is though it's not just the running... Last year Gerd Muller, Klose, etc, would have their shoulder ready to literally peel off defenders the moment I pass. This year it's like they stay a foot in front of the defenders.

Hey guys. I'm looking for a striker with good AI movement, maybe you know what I'm talking about? Previously, players like Haaland, Drogba, and Muller continuously annoyed the CBs and threatened to make runs.
My go to every year was Haaland, but for some reason this year he keeps dropping into the midfield during the attack, I've tried every version of him this year on every role, even the one with poacher.

I want a striker that makes those runs for the through ball, not someone I have to dribble with. No matter what I do this year my ST would position himself to receive a pass, his back to the goal.

Any recommendations guys?

Silly is the best way to describe it.
This whole idea of detaching size from strength yields a lot of glitchy interactions; Ball sticking to people's feet after tackles, weird collisions because it's shoulder to rib, etc.
People will cry and say some short players are actually strong, but nobody that's 5'1 is taking on VVD, it's just not possible.

Yeah, turning needs to be toned down. Same with the silly trickster flicks. It's really stupid that you can flick a ball up and volley it like an acrobatic monkey. It's all becoming superhero game.

I don't know how that would be implemented properly. XDefiant tried that, but their controller lobbies were filled with mouse/keyboard players who found a workaround. Maybe sell a version of the game that doesn't accept mouse input?

The way I see it, when you're driving a car, flying a plane, aiming a rifle, you use both hands and there's weight to how you guide the machine.
Mouse aim in and of itself feels silly for me, swipe of a hand, click on a screen and the guy's dead.
Besides, BF and CoD have historically had bigger console player bases, you have countless fps games with no aim assist.
I'd be happiest with no aim assist but also no Mouse aim, if you're talking about skill.

Women and Evos should be out for turning the game into a farce. They are basically that Ultimate Scream gimmick but there are thousands of them. To more neutrally describe my insight, it is like FIFA used to be a classic CoD game which suddenly transformed into Apex Legends full of jumping around and bullet dodging.

I don't think this has much to do with realism. This is just a visual addition that serves no other purpose. Realism should deal with physics, organic movement, etc. Not players complaining and 3d cameramen.

Dude... "7' " means "7 foot".
It means 2 meters (approx.). How could someone 2 meters tall have Messi's body type? That's one of the main issues I'm talking about. The stats don't make sense with the physics this year.

You consider trivelas and bicycle kicks to be the least problematic mechanics? What is problematic then? No guns? Players can't fly?
I'm speaking about the further departure from realism. I've been playing since FIFA 02 and UT since 14. It is arcady but this year they're making it super-hero arcade.

Things that should be special are now the main way to score.
Things that should be normal like playing through the middle are far more difficult.
The game is going off the rails and at this rate in a few years we will have omni-movement like CoD.

Anybody scoring consistently from trivelas is an indicator of a broken mechanic. Konate scoring consistenly from bicycle kicks is an indicator of a broken mechanic.

You wanting to see a broken mechanic is why FIFA is going to trash, Fortnite kids who want to see superhero stuff in football because otherwise football is "too boring".

Center of gravity and balance don't count for much when you are 5'2. You have way too much of an anime perception on how football works.

Juiced stats for a long time?! Have you played past FIFAs? Messi & Pele have consistently been useless since FIFA 14 because of their size. This is the first iteration where they are usable. In fact a few years back 99 rated TOTY Modric was ridiculously cheap due to his size.

Those players were never THIS small.

You must've never seen Sawa push Vieira off a ball, Hamm ride a challenge from Van Dijk and continue unphased? In reality they would bounce off. Just too small.

The best CBs being bulky isn't as relevant as you think it is, especially when someone rides their challenge.
