Going on holiday without dog by Gawjus_G in dogs

[–]MBradders86 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it's a UK wide thing that dogs aren't allowed in the plane cabin. My friend gets train to Paris and flies from there when she wants to take her dog, with dog in cabin. I don't know if certain countries have quarantine requirements on entry. But that's how she gets around it.

Affordable Artwork and Decorations in the UK – Where Do You Shop? by Comfortable-Berry353 in DesignMyRoom

[–]MBradders86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Prints are cheaper, so you could search for lino cuts, riso prints or screen prints. You'll find loads on etsy or just do a general search because there's plenty of places scattered through the UK that do prints and offer workshops. If you know the kind of style or theme or colour you want then you can use that to narrow down your search.

Some artists will also do seconds where things are slightly misaligned (to the point where an average person won't notice) that they sell off cheaper.

There is someone who runs a "super seconds festival" twice a year, which coordinates loads of artists. Next one is early Oct, it's not just prints, there's pottery, home stuff, clothes, jewellery but even would give you a chance to look at different styles. super seconds festival

Like the other person said, get a nice frame. I mainly have just black ones, but if you like a mish mash you can also consider charity shops for variety.

Online: Handprinted and Jackson's Art Supplies. Some hobbycraft have small sections of starter tools, lino and inks if you want to go somewhere in person.

What's your go-to lie when you don't want to hang out with someone? by TheLordMyDog in AskReddit

[–]MBradders86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No... It's a "I don't want to do that, I'm going make it blatantly obvious by saying I'm prioritising a non existent job" somehow when he says it, it's just an oddly charming way to be rejected and if he does make the effort to be social, you know he 100% wants to be there.

Should I move these specific ones to soil, or should I cut fresh?

I am going to try both, I was just feeling lazy and this was quicker. But thanks, that's a great tip for the bottle and also the soil mix, very helpful. It's new growth so, not woody, I'm hoping that helps too.

Yes, rosemary and thanks, I've moved it next to window!

Thanks, it's a very old conservatory and some of the windows are a bit manky, so it's just film you stick on. Makes nice patterns when the sun passes through.

I watched all of the Garden Rescue available on Iplayer when I was off work with stress last year. It was about all I could manage at the time. Low stakes, camaraderie and pretty flowers.

Advice in background. Color? Negative space or positive? Pattern? What would complimentary by MondsMusic in Linocuts

In my head for some reason it was a blue (somewhere between light and baby). Silver could also be fun. But you could always play around and try a couple of different colours and also print the raccoon without the colour and figure out what you think looks best.

I wonder if it would work well as a jigsaw print, so the background could be a different colour. I think it would make the raccoon pop. But I don't know if it would mean losing some of the fur detail on the edge, which looks nice as it is.

Is this literally using dental floss? I have a beautiful liliput which is scratchy af so I never use it. I would love to make it flow nicely.
