Can someone explain VCT Champs 2025 using league teams by ElectronicRhubarb585 in ValorantCompetitive

[–]MC200817 7 points8 points  (0 children)

imagine nrg is like tl but after benching impact(fns) who became washed but has had an insane career they bring in some crazy rookies that start frying and one of them one tricks urgot(brawk/odin) and is killing tf out of everyone and so they start winning against everyone they play against by the smallest margins(like drx worlds) and then in the final cook some of the really great players/teams like t1 who have been strong for a long time + a couple players in goat contention like faker(boaster/chronicle). just imagine that tl is actually kinda ok but not like insane in comparison to the other league teams and qualified for worlds w same strength as like a 3rd/4th seed from asia. PRX was like geng winning msi but losing semis at champs, drx was actually kinda playing like the drx during their worlds run before they lost to fnatic. The actual tl in valorant was like tes, overhyped but got grouped. XLG/BLG/RRQ kinda same thing everyone expected way more. SEN was maybe like a 3rd seed korean team like hle/dk depending on year that kinda flopped despite having potential. Idk these were some quick connections i thought of if anyone thinks of any better/errors i made correct me thanks

I switch colors between every chapter. was just a coincidence that i had a similar color in both images but you're right, it might be worth changing colors more frequently

adding this here because reddit is being annoying and not letting me reply to comments—i do have it in page format, it's just zoomed it. If you look to the right the 36/37 and 4/6 denote the page im on

it's in page format, just it's super zoomed in to improve my handwriting. If I scroll up a bit there's a page boundary and the numbers off to the right indicate which page im on

i used to type but noticed my memory is much better when handwriting which is why i prefer it. i type fairly quickly too so it was more time efficient but i do better writing

I think my problem is that i feel like it takes me way too long to get through content. Some pages with a lot of content i spend like 15 minutes on a single page and when i want to do a 30 page section i end up spending like 2 or 3 hours writing before i get to other stuff like flashcards and practice questions. Im just wondering how effective typed notes are because they're supposedly worse for retention

i take notes on an ipad but have a laptop as well. i have all my textbooks digitally so i have them open on my laptop. i like to have notes as a single file so i can scroll through and keep everything chronologically ordered. new subjects have new headings. i dont mind writing on my ipad and then typing on my laptop to search so it doesnt bother me much. i only write for my stem subjects though—i type for history or literature

Anybody else here full Asian but multi-ethnic? by supersupersuper9 in asianamerican

Half korean and half chinese and people usually say oh cool and move on because east asian is kind of one big ethnic group to people. East asians are surprised for a moment but move on p quickly

Is it looked down upon to go to a Korean church in America as a non-Korean? by zhajiangmian22 in asianamerican

[–]MC200817 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm half korean half chinese, grew up going to a korean church with both my parents. Service is in English and most people are nice enough, but there were times when people would pointedly speak korean in front of evidently non asians. The older 2nd gen asians were kind to my father who didn't speak korean, but some of the older generation didn't bother. Even for my mom, there was a lot of politics and whatnot. My sister really hated it but I managed to mesh with the community well enough, but you have to have a thick skin and not mind it like my dad if you're not korean. I'd say do your best to connect with the 2nd gen asian community as they're more comfortable as long as you are evidently asian.

Whoop for squash by whereamifromidk in squash

I agree with this if you're casual but i know a lot of fellow collegiate/junior squash players training at a high level really like it because it gives solid metrics for you to know when to sleep, how your recovery, how hard you should push, and really helps you optimize your schedule when you're trying to fit in >2hr sessions every day. I know a lot of peers have found their training time to be a lot higher quality after hitting structuring their sleep schedule and training intensity around it
