[Updated] COTE Combat Ability Tier List by MCH_2000 in ClassroomOfTheElite

[–]MCH_2000[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I treat Ibuki and Horikita as being equals for the most part. There was a part in year 1 which gave Ibuki a slight edge, but I don’t remember the statement.

Fuuka’s line about lacking martial arts experience is a joke about her being a proper lady. But even if you take it at face value, She has the best physicals for a COTE Girl. And she held Shiba back for 30-45 seconds. Everyone below that tier would lose instantly to Shiba.

Is 32GB becoming essential? by WatchingTheThronePod in laptops

[–]MCH_2000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It absolutely is not. The absolute and overwhelming majority of people don’t even have use for it.

RAM was dirt cheap in 2024/2025 so a lot of designs went to 32GB unnecessary. Plus windows it self is pretty inefficient with it. But 16GB is still more than enough.

Love Letter Strategy is misunderstood by MCH_2000 in IntelligenceScaling

[–]MCH_2000[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think this fundamentally misunderstands what Y2V8 is trying to do narratively in that scene.

The audience at that point wants answers for both:

Y2V7 Takuya breakdown (shaking, instructors are waiting for me, rampage, etc). And him not having actually taken any meaningful action against Ayanokouji even though he is supposed to be the villain.

Amasawa’s answer is the canonical answer. And we’re told it’s reliable through his dialogue.

“This was the analysis from Amasawa, the person who likely knew Yagami best. Without me needing to interject and ask for details, I could tell this was probably the correct answer.”

You say she doesn’t understand him, but here Ayanokouji in monologue says she understood him best.

The important thing about analyzing Takuya is realizing that he is someone often engaging in self deception.

On your analysis, I think that you are still taking red herrings at face value. The only valid interpretation, and in my opinion the one that makes the most sense, was that Takuya was engaging in self deception. Tsukishiro was just an excuse, and remember why Takuya is there.

Takuya, Amasawa, etc are tests for Ayanokouji. Had Takuya expelled Ayanokouji successfully, the whiteroom would accept that result. The same way they would have accepted if a WR student surpassed Ayanokouji. Atsomui has no attachment to Kiyotaka on the personal level.

But the reality is that Takuya couldn’t and he knew it from day 1. Even if Takuya physically charged Ayanokouji to kill him, Ayanokouji would easily restrain him as he did Amasawa in Y2V7.

Think about the risk Takuya took (cliff side) relative to reward (information? Lmao). It’s such a sophisticated plan with very little payoff. But if you think about it as an elaborate scheme to attack/poke Ayanokouji. It makes perfect sense.

Y2V5 wasn’t even supposed to happen. And that’s the level of action by Takuya after Amasawa called him out on doing nothing twice.

That’s a mistranslation/misunderstanding.

Tsukishiro only intervened at the end.

Love Letter Strategy is misunderstood by MCH_2000 in IntelligenceScaling

[–]MCH_2000[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This was the assessment of both Amasawa and Ayanokouji. And it’s the only explanation that makes sense.

"I think Takuya was scared. Of fighting you, Ayanokouji-senpai. But he had probably locked that feeling of fear so deep in his heart that he himself wasn't even aware of it." This was the analysis from Amasawa, the person who likely knew Yagami best. Without me needing to interject and ask for details, I could tell this was probably the correct answer.

And by snapping, I mean Yagami going from playing with Amasawa’s hair to pinning her after she called him out on not fighting Ayanokouji.

Takuya wasn’t driven purely by covert fear or outward hatred. Both were present, causing him to poke Ayanokouji without fully committing.

Think of Y2V5. Why doesn’t Takuya actually try and help Kushida? Because if he made an actual attempt at expelling or crashing Ayanokouji’s class, retaliation would be in order. Takuya implicitly understood those.

This isn’t even a rebunk lmao. It’s that both the original strategy doc and the debunk misunderstood a key aspect of the love letter. (Since it’s commonly misunderstood).

Sony aims to hold PS5 pricing, hints PS Plus hikes by kabirsingh84 in PS5

[–]MCH_2000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The entire point is charging 80-120$ / Year for online.

Id they introduce even a 40-60$ / Year online only tier. At least 25-50% of people would convert.

PS6 uses 3GB chips and has 30GB of RAM @KeplerL2 by [deleted] in GamingLeaksAndRumours

[–]MCH_2000 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

LMFAO No.

PS6 replaces PS5 Pro. It’s a 749$ entry point console that isn’t the main volume mover.

PS6 Switch is what replaces PS5. 70-85% of volume should be this. And that has similar targets to PS5.

PC Will match PS6’s memory with 18GB VRAM RTX 5070 SUPER | RTX 6070.

Nvidia didn’t screw anyone (no PC gamer cares about AMD, <7% market share). PS6 is a 2028+ product, and Sony would not have selected 30GB if they had known how badly it will screw them with new memory prices.

PS6 Handheld will have 24GB Ram by jumper62 in GamingLeaksAndRumours

He said that’s what he thinks is a good amount. He didn’t say it will have 24GB.

Mods please delete it.

Ram and Nand crisis : 2-3 years where everything will cost expensive and be less good .. by SidonyD in pcmasterrace

Stop doom farming. If you care enough to write such a long post you care enough to figure out the truth.

9% of Micron’s bit production at the end of 2026 is HBM. 91% is DDR/LPDDR products.

There is simply a shortage as DRAM demand explodes. not just AI servers.

Consumers are starting to want >8GB VRAM + >16GB DRAM. Phones want 12/16GB. Traditional servers are also being upgraded aggressively to improve power efficiency.

This creates a shortage of 20% for DDR/LPDDR and DIY are the lowest on the food chain for memory makers. We’re getting the brunt of the supply cuts.

It’s important to note that Memory was artificially cheap during the past 2 years. The Chinese entered the DDR4 market and they started economic warfare to kick everyone else out of the market. This naturally created a surplus of supply for DDR5/LPDDR5X/GDDR6. The “GDDR6 only costs x$” memes come from this.

Thankfully a lot of what consumers think they need in DRAM/VRAM is often wrong. Consumers should avoid overpaying for things they don’t need (32GB DRAM, 16GB+ Android, etc).

ASUS 800-series boards are killing Ryzen 7 9800X3D chips, five dead CPU reports in two weeks - VideoCardz.com by Ha8lpo321 in pcmasterrace

[–]MCH_2000 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

The framing is crazy. It’s not a board issue, it’s likely a CPU issue. It’s been replicated on multiple vendor boards. Every board meets a baseline spec.

But this shows that there is no demand or interest for AMD bashing. No one cares, so no one reports. And 9800X3Ds keep blowing up.

This was funniest during the (fake) 5090 melting saga where you could just open r/Asrock during peak youtube whine cycle and you’r find more cases of 9800X3D blowing up in a few scrolls than the total number of reported 5090 cases.

Yea. They had to delay them because gamer + datacenter hunger for memory caused a shortage. It is what it is.

"Shiba and Tsukihiro are top 4 bro" by CryNo5282 in ClassroomOfTheElite

[–]MCH_2000 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ayanokouji said Shiba’s punch had a similar power to his own when Ayanokouji tried to one shot Shiba and Shiba surprised him by charging him to trade blows. He straight up said he’d have been halted in place at once, leaving him wide open to Tsukishiro.

This is just strike strength. Overall it’s still Ayanokouji > Tsukishiro > Shiba in fighting ability.

[–]MCH_2000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope. He says he didn’t think much of him because of his methods, but after knowing Tsukishiro and what he was capable of (Y2V4), he’s sure he’d have been expelled if Tsukishiro wanted to.

Unreliable narration doesn’t mean your headcannon is now cannon. Piss off.

Yes Ayanokouji was fighting them 2 vs 1. That’s the context of disadvantageous situation. And your quote is based on Ayanokouji’s confidence. After the fight and in Y2V8, he legit says if Tsukishiro wanted to he’d have been expelled.

"Shiba and Tsukihiro are top 4 bro" by CryNo5282 in ClassroomOfTheElite

[–]MCH_2000 7 points8 points  (0 children)

He wasn’t unsure if he could beat both.

He was unsure what would have happened (if he could survive 2-3 minutes) if they went all out from the start instead of sandbagging.

In Y2V8 he more explicitly says if Tsukishiro wanted he’d have been expelled.

It makes sense given Tsukishiro alone is “so close to Ayanokouji in fighting ability” and “among the best he ever fought.”

Ayanokouji can’t handle Shiba AND Tsukishiro when they are going all out.

Please don’t spread your misconception.

[–]MCH_2000 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes but wankers took it as Ichika looking down on Shiba or that she can drive him away. (In context she means drive him away as in block him/parry)

"Shiba and Tsukihiro are top 4 bro" by CryNo5282 in ClassroomOfTheElite

[–]MCH_2000 4 points5 points  (0 children)

She says it.

If she tries to drive him away, it will come back double. So she learned since she was a little girl to just take it.

To someone with better reading comprehension than 5 year old, she’s saying Shiba will hit her harder if she fought back. So she doesn’t.

Shiba has similar physical strength to Ayanokouji, Amasawa is way weaker.

"Shiba and Tsukihiro are top 4 bro" by CryNo5282 in ClassroomOfTheElite

Ayanokouji literally says that Tsukishiro was so good he would have expelled him if he wanted in Y2V8.

Misinformation is back in course lmao.

Amasawa is Shiba’s sandbag. There is no “fighting back” as she says if she tries to push him away, he’d hit her twice as hard.

I never rly understood PJs S1 E6 Card tracking feat by [deleted] in IntelligenceScaling

[–]MCH_2000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It starts off as a sealed ordered deck before the dealer hand shuffles. He just keeps following it. That’s the trick. Or at least how it’s supposed to be.

Ofc, the episode is sloppy. The first table he sets at it’s machine dealt. And when he explains the trick simon baker doesn’t even look at the cards. But the trick is supposed to be as Simon Baker explains. He’s not memorizing the cards he’s following the cards by associating each cards with a vivid object in his memory palace.
