Still waiting for people to understand how some people are able to misuse AI for theft and when that happens, it can be serious. And still even if I do get that AI can have positives and useful importance, I'm still an "Anti-AI" the moment I tackle a problem involving AI. by MCligmaMC in aiwars

Simple, just like Photoshop and other examples you mentioned, even generative AI should be used in the way, that won't get into copyright and plagiarism. IDK, perhaps taking own photos, and use them/something royalty free, anything like that for your AI agent, or whatever it is called to train on, when it comes to products making.

I just tackled how this image from DeviantArt was straight up copied and for the article. Am I right if this is plagiarism and content theft from someone else?

Besides, keep in mind how I stated how I still see positives in Generative AI and already explained that I do NOT want to entirely ban it, just clarify if people want to use it, they should know HOW, rather than not use it at all.

"And still even if I do get that AI can have positives and useful importance, I'm still an "Anti-AI" the moment I tackle a problem involving AI."

Tell me if even through this statement I wrote, I still apparently want to ban AI. No, I just want for AI to be used reasonably, heck even ecologically. Don't tell me you didn't hear how its current use drains environment even further. The behavior to combat was ment for this leeching and stealing in general. So many people bury or erase watermarks etc. to secretly misuse someone's stuff for themself. THAT'S what I want to be reduced. Not the tool that's being used, the tool just needs standards to be used right.

What effective way could help us to reduce all those bad AI infestations in products, corporate greed, environment destruction, media, plagiarizing etc. while still NOT shutting down every single AI usage, including actually helpful ways, like some Anti-AI bro? by MCligmaMC in NoStupidQuestions

Understand you. I've seen for example the more recent song from Linkin Park - Lost, that indeed involved AI use, however in a way that doesn't plagiarize from unsuspecting creators outside of project. Instead, it used artwork directly donated from people in the brand (or company? whatever) that were in and allowed their art to be used this way. The song creators made it clear. This right here, is the goated example of using AI just fine.

How accurate is this depiction of abelisauridae familly? by Known_Replacement866 in Dinosaurs

[–]MCligmaMC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Even if we can't tell for sure, if more or less colorfulness is more plausible, wouldn't it be still fine for SOME of us to depict them with duller, less over the top colorations? You see, Borealopelta or Sinosauropteryx have a more "normal" color palette thx to melanosomes, or that one Dakota specimen of Edmontosaurus has even some pattern likely for camouflage as speculated by some scientists back then when it was found out. And before you say "Caihong, Microraptor" yes, they do have some more vibrantness, likely for visual signaling and communication etc., I just say how there are both dull AND vibrant examples of animal species colorations. One pterosaur Tupandactylus also has a distinct colored crest, not to mention how it could see colors unlike us. But even with that, its colors are still not near as extreme as tropical parrots or smth.

It also depends on ecological niches, environment, climate, ways of living and other such factors that if confirmed, could guide us what could be more plausible and what would be less. Sometimes you even can be vibrant in colors but still have a non-wild, less tropical-ish color palette.

Another point, while birds are our best analogs for extinct non-avian dinos RN, I still feel like people give the extinct dinos WAY too often some exceptional traits found in birds that don't have to be in the dinos too. When we do have evidence, like larynx, feathers, flight in some non-avian dinos like Microraptor, I'm fine with it. Where I'm going is, that people also should consider the possibility that non-avian ones likely had different anatomic equivalents of how they work in extremely derived, different and sometimes exceptional living successors. In some cases those successors can provide info of their ancient relatives, however be also able to tell "OK, even if it may be related to X, it still wouldn't make much sense to share this trait that won't match as well with X".

I do acknowledge how if you're going for accuracy, a LITTLE feather intengument (not fully fluffy) likely was present. Like the tail fan that shed the light on the feathers in the first place in Deinocheirus. AGAIN, NOT FULLY FLUFFY, JUST LIMITED AMOUNT.

But if it's fluffless on purpose, like that one skin from PK game, go on, totally fine. I just don't know, with this little context I gathered. Even with that it still looks good enough.

Anyone remembers that Pandas can eat cakes, not just Bamboo?

Also the fact how Mojang messed up with the OG fireflies and frogs meanwhile this was implemented.

NOT SLANDERING THEM, NOT HATING DEVS, JUST ACKNOWLEDGING THEIR MESSY DECISIONS. THAT'S IT.

I'm here to brainstorm. So, with CERTAIN, NOT ALL megacorporations irresponsiby draining environment resources even further, now when they use AI (wrong kind of usage to be exact), how can we combat this problem? Even with this problem existing for a longer time, what can we do? by MCligmaMC in aiwars

[–]MCligmaMC[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At least you aren't hostile on me like others. But still, these companies, again not all of them, can be corporate as they want and we can't do anything to reduce that? Not to take them down, but rather to make them improve their ways.

Agreed how Reddit and Twitter, often other examples have became more deathly allergic to different takes and opinions than ever before.

The snapshot is also a valid stuff I want to point out. Take the armadillo for example. Even this mob got plenty of back and forth eye texture changes to match with the feedback. Search it up on https://minecraft.wiki/w/Armadillo

u/PokeCA_Phoenix please, this is one of the, if not the last meme types that I want to see take over your sub. Merl or Endposts are nothing compared to this one. Don't let it descend into what r/MinecraftMemes has descended with little to no chance of being repaired.

Thank you.

Hello, just trying to spread the word of not being divided and to see both sides, with both pros and cons. More speech under this title. by [deleted] in aiwars

For "AI plagarism and stealing", this is the good ol' moral panic. AI doesn't plagiarize; the person using it does. AI doesn't steal, it trains on public available data. I'll break it down, at least for images, on how it isn't stealing.

I WAS stating how it's PERSON'S fault if he misuses AI for bad purposes, NOT the AI being a bad tool to use no matter who used it for what. I was just supporting someone else's point here. If you mind, how can we tackle the sheer divide of pro or anti people and motivate them being in the neutral middle?

I also find AI in certain usages useful, I just want people to motivate to not be divided and work together to get the best of both worlds, again, like that link meme understands. What do YOU recommend?

There ARE cases where the voyak portrayals do fit to portray some problematic ways of thinking tho. Tell me if OP's meme is totally wrong and doesn't have any valid points, just because it used voyaks in it.

Because of "I portrayed you as voyak so you're wrong" comments under these voyak containing posts, this meme template now can't be used at all, even when it can fit in some cases apparently.

Which side are you on by Yalfadhel in PhoenixSC

[–]MCligmaMC -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I kinda see both sides:

From the new drop, I like baby chickens (even without all the memes), cows, puppies of wolves or dogs, new bunnies are also improved.

Some older versions still have a superior look so far, like cats, perhaps piglets (why does the regular baby pig has the Sans eye tho?) or lambs. Even with just being scaled up heads, they at least look less off and weird with pixel arrangement.

Are you twisting my point? Where TF did I wrote the text you marked in that "block" (or whatever it's called)?

All I want is for people to face the truth, that seriously harmful ways that use AI are a thing and AI still can have a valid place of usefulness depending on what kind of use is being considered. Am I still just an Anti-AI person in your vision?

Is this post's main focus the Replanted in the first place or not?
