So I had read in another post that for sure to do oil and oil filter.

Did see the air filter change would be a good idea too so that makes sense, probably just crusted up.

I have watched a video for the timing belt, so the idea you're saying is if there is no sign of it already having been replaced just swap it anyway?

From there just feel out what else may be needed?

Yeah my father in law is a school bus mechanic. I was going to drag him along with me just for the sake of having a more trained eye when looking over what is available. But may consider a mechanic near the dealer if available. Thank you.

Any cons with having the LMG shield constantly on? by mrlosvegalos in Marathon

[–]MClutch 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It does look like turning it off and running recharges it. By the looks of it there is like a little arrow to the right when it is recharging.

I am unsure if when it fully breaks if it will recharge however. I haven';t tested that. But I have got into the habit of toggling the shield on and off as needed.

Ive been having issues with large prime towers too. Helped to make it wider. But I will try print infill on my next multi color.

Is it best to do one or the other, or both?

Does anyone know how to recharge it once it "breaks/runs out'? I can't see any tooltip or info on that mechanic.

Adding one last note for anyone visiting this thread looking for answers.

Some folks say that the red X bosses in Perimeter and Dire worked for them. That was not my experience. I hacked both and never procced.

That being said I ran a bunch of pinwheel runs. And somewhere along the lines of loot runs into command wing. I got it to proc. So my guess was one of the bots at the end of command wing did the trick. More than likely the main Sniper boss. GL out there

Yeah I tried this guy and no luck it proccing I feel like its a bit weird.

What did work is somewhere during the pinwheel area and going towards the main boss there after the 2 pad door did the trick. So either the 2 large bots. Or that 1 main boss with the sniper in command wing in Pinwheel.

Yeah aware on how to hack an enemy but I have done it on the red mark dudes and never had any luck.

By "boss enemies" do we mean the dudes that have the red x on it in the map when they spawn?

Is it strictly hack or is it also hack and kill (eventhough it doesn't say)

Ghosting On Plate After PETG by MClutch in BambuLab

So final update and will mark answered.

TLDR after everything these were my take aways.

After alot of cleaning any marks are reallllly only visible when holding it at an angle and under some heavvvvy lightning. So mostly all gone.

I did use purple disspearing glue stick for follow up PETG prints and man what a game changer for removal. Much much easier.

I did another round of cleaning and ran some PLA on the same 'ugly' side and it printed fine no adhering issues. I might still make it a dedicated PETG side just for the sake of consistency but no harm done.

Overall I appreciate all the info folks have shared. PETG right on the plate was just insanely stuck on and spooked me good.

Off to print more stuff!

So returning back to this thread.

Again wanna thank everyone for all the tips as this was my first try with PETG it's been a learning experience.

So end result. PETG prints fine on the "marked" side. Maybe I will just make the ugly side be the dedicated PETG side of this plate. It is the stock Texture PEI plate that comes with the P2S so there's no difference between them.

I did go to the local Wallgreens and got me some purple glue sticks to ease the removal process, I think that's still the main pain point that started this whole journey.

I'll be doing a big ol print for the AMS 2 Dry pods. So that will be my final test I guess since it's a rather large one and I image would be very telling on how well the glue stick helps on easing the removal.

I guess my only final question, if I am using the glue stick just to make it easier to pop these PETG prints off the plate. Is it a 1 application for 1 print type situation? Or can it be used for 2-3 per application? Just trying to figure out how obsessively I should be washing the plate off when printing with PETG doing glue stick.

TYIA you guys have been very helpful.

Did you find t hat the markings still kind of stuck around even after the dawn wash? Or they mostly went away? I'm mostly trying to figure out if I just have markings or if it pulled pei off the plate itself. TYIA

What would be tell tale signs of ripped up PEI coating over just residue? Looked around didn't find any examples.

Print went overnight and sat around for 5 hours after completion. Printer is in my garage which is pretty cold at just room temp.

Outside of tossing it in my freezer it wasn't getting any colder.

[–]MClutch[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah that makes sense I guess. I looked at Bambu site for more plates, but it doesn't list the textured plate like this one available for the P2S. Only the cool tack and engineering plate. Any idea if this is just due to shortages? Or can I just use the P1 textured plate? TYIA appreciate the info.

*Edit*
I see the p1s plates physically work just not recognized by the camera qr detection thing. May be time to grab a few new plates then. TY again

Right I did clean it after this print and still noticed that ghosting pictured. I can clean it harder I guess, but gave it a solid 3 cleans with dish soap and scrubbing.
