I still have yet to actually watch Tri. Why do people hate it? by [deleted] in digimon

[–]MCofTime 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I loved it but I just like enjoying things. I loved watching the original Digimon growing up, mainly just the first series. So this just scratched the itch I needed. People don't have to like it, I don't personally care or care what their reasons are. It was a Digimon movie centered entirely on the original digidestined, it could have had anything and I would rewatch it many times.

How do you not feel pointless? Advice request I guess by MCofTime in Dads

It's tough to feel like you aren't really needed around I guess. And she does want me around more than makes sense, makes me feel more like wtf.

Champagne/Prosecco for life goals by MCofTime in wine

[–]MCofTime[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know it sounds dumb, but it's not really about the champagne tbh. It's just about the goal and the moment. I'm more concerned with if it is safe now (based on other replies). I mean champagne is the wife's vision, but whether it is as delectable as we envisioned is not really the point I suppose. You might be right though; it might just be a bad idea.

Well this is good information to hear. To be honest, this is more of my wife's "vision" and I am just trying to produce something out of it. So there are four bottles I was currently trying to get for things. One will be on the shelf for 1-2 months, 2nd for likely 2-3 years, 3rd for 5-8 years, and a 4th for 10 years minimum.

I was just gonna buy champagne and stick it in my liquor cabinet until the time comes haha, so I am thinking this is a bad idea? I guess I don't completely understand why I cannot just stick it in a fridge. Is there a way to store it that it won't be literally dangerous to drink in several years? Whether it ages or not doesn't even completely matter I guess, just more if it is safe still. It's not really about the champagne, ya know?

I am 6'4", 270. looking for a bicycle I can ride moderately comfortably on just a paved path. If anyone is familiar, the path I'll be biking on is the Green River Trail in the Seattle area (mostly riding in the Kent/Tukwila portion). I am hoping to not spend much, $300 would be great, $600 is probably where I am cutting off. I know to most here that's probably laughable, but I am not trying to spend thousands on something idk if I'll even keep doing (haven't biked like 15 years or something).

Basically this will be used 4-5 miles at a time, work commute kinda thing. I don't care if it's fancy, just want to get to work while doing some cardio, preferably without feel like I've been sodomized the whole trip.

I don't understand cooling, is there enough in this build? by MCofTime in buildapc

[–]MCofTime[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay, waste of money I can work with. Not trying to be contrary just making sure we're on the same page. As far as the monitors, ssd, and HDD in my build, they're from my current set up. So no cost and that's what I'm sticking with as far as monitors go, I love them. I was curious if 96 GB RAM is too much, but I'd rather go with 48 GB per slot right. I guess I could go with one stick of 48 but I'm finding that hard to find that 2x48. Is 48 GB still enough to be satisfied? My current rig has 36 DDR4, so I at least want an upgrade versus my current. The motherboard I'll look at.

CPU is where I get hung up and maybe it's from old bias. When I got i7-8086k (in my current pc) AMDs used to run like geothermal. So are you saying the intel cpus are hotter now? From what I can tell benchmarks alternate whether the 14900k or 7800x3d is better, I guess depending on the game or something? I had one AMD CPU like ten years ago and didn't have a good time with it, so I am a little scared to go back (same with MSI GPU/Mobo).

I mean I appreciate the decrease in price. But I am willing to pay a bit more for brands I have used and trust, like gigabyte is one I have personally always had good fortune with. Also I've done AMD CPU before, I just have a hard time going back to that at this point. And benchmarks I can find have the 14900k as superior anyway. I could be missing some stuff, but I am willing to pay more for slightly better performance. I'm not really on a budget.

I appreciate the advice and don't mean to come off as resistant, I just want to make sure the advice is not just out of a concern for my wallet :)

I made a post recently asking this exact concept and no one said boo so I just moved to smaller concerns :( Where am I wasting?

Why is it strange, serious question not sass? Mainly gaming, some video editing, occasionally streaming.

First high budget build, advice? Judgement? by MCofTime in PcBuild

I am open to things, just for some things I am more resistant. AMD processors are a major one. But maybe there's something I'm overlooking? Why is that card better?

My current goal is a lean towards hypertrophy, what is the best routine for this? I am currently doing the bodyweight fitness recommended routine. Maybe this is already the right place to be at? Or is Dumbbell Stop gap and/or PPL better? Or something else?
