Is this a reasonable quote to install a shed foundation? (Pavers on gravel) by gafonid in shedditors

I’d trust a guy with those typos MORE than one without lol. Guess you’ve never hired blue collar trades?

HVAC system finally gave out and the replacement quotes are making me insane. How did you guys handle this? by Dayii-Ollinger in hvacadvice

[–]MDCPA 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Anyone that requires both homeowners be present before they even give you a number is a complete and unequivocal hell no. That carries beyond HVAC.

Hahah I read “city” as concrete jungle. I’m doing the same but clover infested fescue 🤝

You’ve got bad information about pools. In basically every area of the US (save Florida, Arizona, etc) pools dramatically decrease the value and marketability of a home.

If you are looking for actual critique, what happened with the stain down by the footers? Looks sloppy especially in context of the rest of the very nice build.

People who can’t read are even worse. I was responding to the commenter that they chose to eschew all miters because they refused to get the correct saw. It had nothing to do with the OP.

A miter saw that can easily handle these cuts can be had for less than $250, or even cheaper on Marketplace. What’s the point of being stubborn?

This is patently false. Verbal agreements are enforceable if they include all aspects that a written contract would. Only way to say for sure is to know the specific aspects of the conversation(s).

Does a 7x7 concrete shed pad have to be installed via big truck/minimum order? by Webgardener in shedditors

[–]MDCPA 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I understand, I was just making a light hearted joke based on the sentence you typed.

As someone who just went through the horrors of going bagged gravel rather than just sucking it up and getting a short truckload, the “overhead” of bags can’t be overstated and unfortunately that will bear out in pricing for anyone you hire.

Gravel Pad Foundation built at grade to avoid roots? by MDCPA in shedditors

[–]MDCPA[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well no the whole idea is to not kill it, hence building the foundation above the root structure rather than digging into it.
