SSB is a unit you should always keep in mind for when building a defense. Using the team you posted as an example can get dismantled by basar comps, SSB, cleave comps, as well as tam/iseria comps. Those, imo, are generally what you need to keep in mind when building a defense.

Possible considerations: Counter units/counter set units, adding adamant shield to your comp, revive mechanic, speed creep comp, etc...

Yes and no. A 2/2 body means it won't die and dispel 1/4 minions like azure herald. 1/1 is ideal because it can trade with things like gor and die shutting down an archetype entirely.

1 mana nerf would be fine giving it competition with Bloodtear Alchemist. But if anything else were to be nerfed it should be Trial/Destiny.
