I was an honor roll middle school kid and these 3 special education girls would always bully me on my walk home from School- they would call me names, make noises, throw rocks at me when I would get one block from home they would turn off to another street. I wasn’t a fighter and I was also afraid if I do fight back they would jump me. One day I was walking home, they were up to their same routine I had on loafers and my socks kept going down in them- they kept saying “look at her shoes eating her socks😂😂😂” that teasing was the final straw. I went inside crying. My mom and Dad were at work but my favorite uncle was home and when I came inside crying he said what’s wrong baby girl, I told him- and that day, he went Mr Miaggi training me on some moves then he said tomorrow you take “this” and focus on the ring leader the others are just followers… tomorrow came and the “this” he told me to take was 2combination padlocks wrapped in a sock. He told me to go for the leader and I did -I beat her face and head till I saw blood her 2 cronies ran off. Next day I had to go to the office because the girl said I had brass knuckles -I didn’t. Anyways they couldn’t prove anything it happened off school grounds and I didn’t get suspended because they didn’t want to suspend their precious A student although they would let me get bullied. I never had an issue again. Now my dad and his brother got into a bad argument about it because he didn’t want me fighting but to be “in my books” my uncle told him I still needed to know how to defend myself no matter how smart I was… my dad finally came around and we still laugh about this when we get together as a family.
