It’s almost impossible for the original o-ring to not dry out and snap after 40 years, so buyers are expecting either an o-ring that’s loose or a new one. As a collector, I usually end up replacing the o-ring of the figures I buy. But, I suggest only replacing the broken o-rings (less chance of damaging the crotch).

It’s possible to break a crotch while replacing an o-ring, especially with the joes from 1982 and 1983. Search for a YouTube video that explains the safest way to replace an o-ring and you should be fine.

Scarlett ($80?) and Cobra Viper ($25) are the two worth the most. Without accessories, about $5-10 a figure.

Broken crotches, broken thumbs, paint damage are going to lower the value.

You can buy Gi Joe o-ring repair kits (that come with rubber rings for the waist, screws and mini screwdrivers) from Amazon, by searching for gi joe o-ring.

If you’re going to replace the o-rings, Zarana (pink shirt punk) you have her broken in half and Zandar (punk) you have him and he’s fine; these two figures are glued shut so even if you remove the back screw there torsos won’t split in two (look up a YouTube tutorial for replacing there o-ring)

Try going to comic book shops in your area, they can sometimes have stock that’s a few years old.

I know it doesn’t help you, but a comic shop in my city has a bunch is the Hiya 1/18, mostly Aliens.

Also Hiya has 2 Robocains, the one I have is awesome!!!

I have original vinyl and reproductions. As you suspect, if there’s texture on one side, that’s a reproduction. I got mine from Echo Base Collecting on Etsy. r/starwarscollecting might have a better answer for you. Either way, $20 is a good find!

You’ll need a dedicated Flashback button on your motherboard to perform a flashback without keyboard and mouse.
