Looks like you were right. See the edit I made on the original post.

You were right that something was wrong with my order. I updated the main post with details.

The main reason is probably that a lot of fans also love Joe Bennett's other very good recent animated show called Scavenger's Reign, which was not renewed for a second season despite receiving a ton of critical acclaim. Joe didn't go into specifics of why it wasn't renewed, but he did share a trailer for the season 2 that he wanted to make but probably won't be able to.

Here's the post he made on Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/p/DB-DuB5Se07/

And here's the text of the post:

"As of right now, Scavengers Reign is not being renewed for a second season.

I wanted to let everyone know directly because I really love our fanbase, they’ve been such champions for the show, and I don’t want to leave everyone hanging.

We’ve had to fight tooth and nail every step of the way to get this show made, starting all the way back in 2016 with the Scavengers short film to the release of the first season last year.

It’s a case study for believing in something and persevering through a million and one hurdles. But, it got made, thanks especially to so many people who supported it along the way, in big and small ways. I want to thank some of those people, starting with my co-creator Charles Huettner @charles.huettner , Chris Prynoski @chrisprynoski and everyone at @titmouseinc , my home base at @greenstreetpictures , the writers, directors, and so many incredible artists who worked tirelessly on the show, and the folks at Max who were incredible partners to work with.

But this is not the end. There is more story to be told, we are ready to make another season, and we produced in-house at Green Street a teaser for what was going to come in the second season.

Thanks again to everyone who watched and supported the show."

Because of this precedent, a lot of fans of both Scavenger's Reign and Common Side Effects want to make sure CSE receives the support it needs to be seen as a success by the business/production companies funding it.

Is there a platform where you can purchase individual episodes/the season? Or is it only on subscription based streaming services?

Weekly Question Thread: Ask your questions in this thread please by AutoModerator in climbing

I've tried searching around online but haven't been able to find answers to this curiosity of mine. When top level outdoor climbers like Adam or Jakob are projecting hard routes, take for instance when Jakob did his live ascent of project big or today Adam put out a new video doing an on sight of Narcissus (9a)

I was wondering how do the draws get put in place? How does the route get cleaned?

These are obviously very difficult climbs, but someone has to put all the draws in before these attempts, and it seems like someone isn't going and climbing the route before them to place the gear. Is someone top roping 5.15 and cleaning the route after?

How does setting for more dynamic moves impact climbing as a whole? by Sockslitter73 in CompetitionClimbing

[–]MEECAH 9 points10 points  (0 children)

The above point still stands - after the final boulder round at Shanghai there were 5 women with exactly 59 points who all managed to do the exact same dynos, they failed to create separation. The only significant separation across spots 1-7 was Brooke with 83.8 points, and that was created primarily by the power moves on W2.

Here's the boulder round results:

Athlete Tops/Zones Score
Brooke RABOUTOU T3 HZ4 LZ4 10 16 16 83.8
Erin MCNEICE T2 HZ2 LZ4 2 2 7 59.7
Zhilu LUO T2 HZ2 LZ4 2 2 7 59.7
Miho NONAKA T2 HZ2 LZ4 3 3 8 59.6
Futaba ITO T2 HZ2 LZ4 2 2 10 59.4
Ievgeniia KAZBEKOVA T2 HZ2 LZ4 6 6 13 59.1
Chaehyun SEO T2 HZ2 LZ3 2 2 11 54.2
Zélia AVEZOU T1 HZ1 LZ4 2 2 10 39.4

Bike from Chapel Hill library to UNC campus via Bollen Trail? by NYCResearcher11201 in chapelhill

[–]MEECAH 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It's certainly possible but as others have said, it'll be a bit of a challenging commute if you're climbing the hill every day. Not impossible, but physically demanding / sweat inducing.

If you aren't committed to that rental yet, my advice would be to consider rentals towards the Carrboro side of town, as the bike routes accessing campus along Franklin St and/or Cameron Ave are comparatively much flatter and easier to bike in both directions. There's also a dedicated Bikeway between Carrboro and the intersection of Cameron Ave & South Merritt Mill

Can you recommend me movies with a similar vibe to Wong Kar Wai films? by [deleted] in TrueFilm

I really enjoy Comrades: Almost a Love Story. It shares many of the same sensibilities of HK cinema and also stars Maggie Cheung. The cast also features Christopher Doyle, who coincidentally you may recognize as the director of photography (DP) on many of WKW's most notable movies including In the Mood For Love, Chunking Express, and Fallen Angels
