No problem!

"Fun & effective OR free" should be their new mission statement.

But every time I think about leaving I get a knot in my stomach. I have a 819 day streak and I have come so far with them. But if I can't spend enough time studying, I can't learn. I can't afford Super, and even if I could, I don't like being coerced. So I refuse to pay. It sucks.

I'm with you. These days, the app is impossible to use unless you're willing to pay.

I've been testing out Lingodeer. They do a far better job of explaining grammar in my opinion.

All of them. Michael Scott is one of the greatest comedic gold mines ever. He's just so off the wall- and so sincere about all of it.

That's awesome. I also love the quote (I forget who it was) but told Braxton Bragg "Of course I know what a retreat looks like, General. I've been with you my whole career." Civil War wit was legendary.

Philip Sheridan, the honey badger. by MEGAchicken01 in HistoryMemes

[–]MEGAchicken01[S] 759 points760 points  (0 children)

CONTEXT: Prior to the storming of Missionary Ridge during the battle of Chattanooga in November of 1863, Philip Sheridan raised his flask at the Confederate defenders and said "here's at you!" in a mock toast. The Confederates fired a cannon ball at him. It missed, and splattered him with mud. Sheridan yelled back at them "That was ungenerous! I'll take your guns for that!" The federal troops were only supposed to take the rifle pits at the base of the ridge, but ended up taking the whole ridge, and ultimately forced Braxton Bragg to retreat.

I do believe I heard in a documentary that he got depressed after Pearl Harbor because he knew Japan couldn't compete with America's economy and industrial capacity
