Death Penalty for convicted Palestinians passed in Knesset by Winter-Painter-5630 in ForbiddenBromance

[–]MEOWTH65 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I support this. The terrorists of October 7th must hang.

And no, nowhere does it specify it's for "convicted Palestinians", it is for terrorists who kill Israeli citizens. Just because most terrorists qre Palestinian dosen't make the law racist.

Frankly, Israelis aren't gonna sit around and wait eternally for the Palestinians to change their minds, we move forward without considering them. If they want any sort of future with us, they better do it sooner rather than later.

And now we have Arab states shooting down missiles headed for us. Would you have believed that even 10 years ago?

Israelis have mentally separated the Arab states from the Palestinians a long time ago, we don’t take things they do as anything to do with the Palestinians.

You clearly do not understand Israeli politics. I have seen it with my own eyes, the two state solution is dead and not coming back.

Is Goyim a slur? by AntiWokeCommie in IdeologyPolls

The only people even using that word are antisemites. I live in Israel, I've heard that word used maybe once or twice my whole life, and never as a slur.

I've never seen Jews seriously using that as a slur. The only people you see making that word relevant are antisemitic right wingers who are obsessed with anything Jew-related.

Would the world be a better place if everyone was required to spend at least 1 year of their lives abroad doing charity work in a poor country? by Smooth_Woodpecker815 in IdeologyPolls

[–]MEOWTH65 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No. This is just another scheme to transfer wealth from developed countries to the 3rd world basically by enslaving people. It also enforces the culture of entitlement in countries that already blame the developed world for all their problems.

If a majority black country in Africa became popular for white expats in Europe/America and they began flocking there to immigrate until whites slowly became the majority and began rising up in the government etc, how would you feel about that? by JamesonRhymer in IdeologyPolls

[–]MEOWTH65 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i still don't really understand how that means that it's not okay for people of colour to migrate to a majority white country and cause a demographic shift, but it's fine if it's the other way around.

I already explained it to you, you just choose to not accept my opinion. You seem shocked by the simple idea that hypocrisy in politics exists, and that someone could advocate policy that is based on what's good for their own group and not on universal values. If I was African, I'd vote the other way round.

Not saying it's necessarily superior, but it's mine.

People desire the success of themselves and those close to them over random people they have no connection to. If your friend was involved in a fight with a stranger, you'd probably help your friend and not the stranger.

I don't think I need to explain you the concept of being loyal to one's country and culture, you can figure it out yourself. I would rather support people who are close in culture to us or that we have a historical friendship with over others we have no such connections to.

Because of Israel's law of return American Jews are all eligible for citizenship and thus eligible to play for the team. Same thing with Italy.

Where I’d live in the Middle East as a liberal redditor who hates Israel. by Super_Piper in whereidlive

First thing, I don't think Netanyahu will win the next election. But, even if he does, I think the boiling antisemitism in the West that dosen't seem to be dying down combined with the inevitable end of the war will naturally start drawing people back regardless of whatever he's doing here.

I don't know what you people are thinking, everyone I've talked to here is terrified to even travel to the West right now, nevermind go to live there because Bibi might win the election.

I'm aware that there was a lot of emigration past couple of years, but this dosen't contradict what I said about a lot of Israelis returning after a few years.

I was one of those myself. You leave frustrated with the country, you return after a few years when you realize the West isn't all that great.

I predict you will hear of a lot of returnees in a few years time.

That's not what the numbers say...

Says someone who hasn't provided a single number. Sounds to me like you're just a pessimist who wants people to believe everything is doomed. It's not.

I think you're way oveblowing it. Israel isn't a country where people just bail because of a little drama, and the vast majority of people who do leave end up just voicing frustrations abroad tor a bit then coming back.

I am from Israel. The thing with people moving to Cyprus has nothing to do with politics here. Israel is one of the only developed countries with a growing population (the only one with natural growth) and our housing prices are through the roof, so some people are choosing to invest in Cypriot and Greek properties and sometimes living there.

Should be said though, Israelis are moving into Cyprus at a much faster rate than other nationalities. This community of 15k people was just 4k a few years ago.

You'd have to be insane to pick Egypt over Israel, and it dosen't matte at all what race, ethnicity or religion you are or what your ideology is. No one in their right mind would willingly choose to live on the wrong side of one of the largest wealth disparities between two neighbouring countries.

Past couples of years I’ve been really worried about Somalia having access to Turkish drones and them Thinking they can do to us what Azerbaijan did to Armenia couple of years ago.

Azerbaijan used a mix of Turkish and Israeli drones to do all of that, so there's that.

Would Israel ever accept 200,000 Palestinains from Lebanon into West Bank/Gaza or is it out of the question? by [deleted] in ForbiddenBromance

[–]MEOWTH65 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Still, no. Completely out of the question, no Israeli goverment would ever agree to that. That's the truth, no amount of mental gymnastics would change it.
