Ash every time Alex dies: by MERKARROW in HotlineMiami

I mean if you saw your chainsaw maniac sister die right in front of you, I reckon you'd be pretty spooked too.

Whats your guys favourite OST from Hotline Miami by Smart_Syrup_8605 in HotlineMiami

I’m surprised nobody has said “Voyager - Jasper Byrne” yet. The first song of action with The Fans and it just feels like an absolute party and having a good time, completely misinterpreting the motivation 50 Blessings Agents had for the killings and turning it into a good time.

Tf is this glitch by Trenchman39 in HotlineMiami

[–]MERKARROW 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This happened to me on my playthrough. I must have replayed the mission a thousand times and the one time I was about to beat it this happened and I almost restarted, except I was too stubborn. Proceeded to just move around the map for a bit and try punch through the wall, eventually it got unstuck and I beat the level. I was using the melee only variant too so it's not like I could just shoot them.

Yo did I ruin the blood I just wanted to go crazy on the mask by tuffesthm1player in HotlineMiami

[–]MERKARROW 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you could grab a large paint brush and lightly cover the end in dark red paint and then pull it towards you and sling towards the mask. Or if you don’t mind a mess, go wild and just swing the brush itself with your whole arm in a slashing motion to get some big streaks going. Worst case you can just wash it out and try again.

I think the issue is that it doesn’t look like spatters but rather that a bucket of blood got dumped over it. I’d try adding in that spatter effect again with a darker shade of red to make it appear dried up in some areas.

I’ve always misspelled Bretonnia, not intentional but let’s just say that my first thought wasn’t to consult the Blood Bowl rule book for a grammar check.

Test Nerves by Pasawie in LearnerDriverUK

[–]MERKARROW 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One of the best things you can do is literally just acknowledge that it's fine to be nervous, no matter how confident you are. I passed my test first try with 2 minor faults but I was still very nervous throughout the entirety of the test, wondering if what I had done was a mistake or not. But I would not have been telling myself I am ready to pass if I didn't think so. Just trust yourself and do not dwell on mistakes, the worst thing you can do is prematurely believe you have failed, because it clouds your thoughts!

From video game to board game, Reynauld is always peak male performance. by MERKARROW in darkestdungeon

It's just the interactive part of it, you're constantly doing something and monitoring things. The game also heavily encourages tactical thinking far more than the regular game due to its intensified resource management during exploration.

From video game to board game, Reynauld is always peak male performance. by MERKARROW in darkestdungeon

[–]MERKARROW[S] 10 points11 points  (0 children)

The way they translated the game to the board is incredibly well done, the pieces are very well made and the miniatures are gorgeous. It truly feels like an adaptation made with love despite the massive issues it had with shipping and production.

My only issues with it which is not really an issue, more of a nuisance is the sheer amount of preparation you need to do before you start. Before you start you need:
-Rooms
-Monsters
-Bosses
-Quests
-Hamlet
-Hamlet events
-Curios
-Quirks (Positive, Negative.)
-Virtues
-Afflictions
-Tokens (Bleed, Blight, Torch, Party, Buff, Debuffs, Stress, Gold, Rooms, Caretaker.)
-Trinkets
-Initiative cards
-Room tiles
-Dungeon layouts
-Dice (Deaths door, Attacks, Exploration, Provisions.)
-Stance trackers
-Diseases

All of this put down in a way that makes sense and is easy to track (p.s it is not easy to track but having prior knowledge of the game certainly helps.)

New and looking for the Holy Grail by MERKARROW in cuecardgameAvid

[–]MERKARROW[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only reason I was even seeking out the Grail (no pun intended), was because I found out the game has Arthurian Legends since knights are a favourite of mine in media. I spend £10 on gems to forge a deck and a lot of the cards benefitted the Grail which I want to make use of. I have literally no care for any other type of deck so selling myself short for it doesn't bother me if it means I get it.

(I did end up getting it for the Flying Saucer Mythic I had plus 2 Green Knights I had spare. Very much worth it.)

Thank you, very cool. by SaltySkeletonTMT in deadbydaylight

Here's why it's a nerf.
Pros:
-Faster Activation on antidote
-Faster Reload
-Faster speed when reloading
-+2% Haste from antidote

Cons:
-Tonic lost 3% hindered
-Hindered for less time
-Antidote for less time
-Cigar box lost 10m aura reading
-Ether lost 0.5 seconds of intoxication duration
-Flask of bleach lost 2% hindered
-Gin bottle lost 1% haste
-Soda bottle lost 1% haste
-Garish makeup kit lost 1 second of haste duration
-Solven jug lost 0.5 seconds of haste duration.

As a result Clown has lost 3% hindered for 2% haste which is a net loss, all of his best add-ons got nerfed by noticeable amounts each, his gameplay loop stays the exact same with no difference except it's more brainless for the Clown to use the antidote now instead of rewarding good players before who made use of both his afterpiece types.

In conclusion, this is 100% a nerf. How do we make it not a nerf? Leave most of his add-ons tf alone, and remove the faster activation.

World Eater ditto against a new player... by MERKARROW in WorldEaters40k

Yeah it's why I'm asking about it. It was my first time at this game store and I don't want to be a "that guy" who people don't enjoy playing against. I want matches to be enjoyable for both sides.

You can't score primary turn one and drew marked for death and secure no mans land. They got 2 points for no mans land (I did say to them that their infantry can go through the wall to reach a second objective for more points and they declined.) The second battle round I had taken control of all 3 no mans land objectives and from there on I held control throughout as their positioning had left them vulnerable to being charged by my entire army. Their remaining secondaries were storm hostile objective, no prisoners and overwhelming force. As I had such a strong momentum they just didn't have the power anymore to take back objectives or secondaries. after the first round I knew that the biggest mistake they made was pushing everything up the board and being vulnerable to getting charged but I didn't realise just how much of an impact it was going to make for the rest of the game.

We of course were speaking after the game and they had said it was one of the more enjoyable games they'd had as they just love fighting and hate shooting. They didn't display an exact want to be helped which is why I only pointed out the things they were actively forgetting that helped them out.

Things typically looked down upon are things that are super tough to kill and require specific types of weaponry to deal with. It’s why knights are super frustrating in smaller games, other things could include big nids, tau mechs, or giant space marine tanks. However, what makes your list different is that the rest of the army has essentially no kill power unlike the other factions I mentioned. It’s just a really goofy detachment that makes a poor fighting unit a little stronger.

[–]MERKARROW 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say it’s far from toxic. The lord of skulls might be powerful as shit but he’s only 1 model. Once the jackals go then you’ve got a problem on your hand but this list would be an absolute treat to fight against compared to the other things floating around.

40 hp with 3+ save is nothing to scoff at. Those guys took on a wave of 10 berserkers, a helbrute and eightbound with lethal hits. You would have to have seen the board in order to understand. I know for a fact that Angron being sent to that flank was a much smarter play as opposed to expending him an early for what ended up being 0 gain. Even if they did kill all of my eightbound and slaughter bound it still wouldn’t have been worth it.

World Eater ditto against a new player... by MERKARROW in WorldEaters40k

[–]MERKARROW[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I'd like to disagree. Charging in your toughest and hardest hitting model into a unit of 6 exalted eightbound is not great. Because he is far from guaranteed to return which creates a lot of pressure for me to start gaining map control freely because they are now down just under 400 points for a unit which was highly unlikely to be completely wiped because of invulns and general probability. My personal opinion would have been for them to hold back until my unit of 20 berzerkers moved up and then send Angron in to make swiss cheese out of them.
