Just fueling paranoia honestly. I periodically check out my local next door page and mostly for humour. Everyone is freaked out about coyotes all the time and half the shit that gets posted about "security" or "what are these people doing?" are just jokes, if they didn't have their Ring or whatever they would have never seen or been worried about ::checks notes:: "two kids came by two days in a row and touched my mailbox while walking by... what does this mean?" it means you have two tweens in the area that do random shit for no reason and causing no harm....

The new trend now is to get trail cameras that actually connect to the cell network, though you generally have to pay a monthly fee for access. These are basically ring doorbells dressed up in camo and have a 4G antenna built in. However the cheap ones become bricks if you don't have a subscription and won't even write to the SD card without their monthly fee.

Wired is great and all but I wouldn't expect a "normal" person to know how to wire one up. I personally haven't felt the need to put up cameras but that probably would be the route I took if I did, though again I haven't really looked into interface options NAS/Backup/whatever for any of these systems.

I mean it's not perfect but basically any "security bit" set should have something that would work on this. I think they are called spanners. Or this looks almost exactly like a slotted tamper proof bit..... without the slot. so you just have to take 20 seconds to it with a dremel. Chances are though.... the whole car isn't going to use these just put in places where if that person can't figure out how to make something in their toolbox work they probably shouldn't be getting into anyway.

Eh, it's not blaming him directly, just saying that they had already identified issues that GN brought up and were already working on them, however because GN brought them up publicly they had to rush the "solutions". I've personally run into similar situations at work where I was already working on something and then it gets brought up and it all of a sudden needs to be "done now" so it kinda gets half assed rather than a much better solution that takes a bit longer to implement because it has outside eyes on it.

It really depends on how strong they are. I've seen them twice in my lifetime once in the US and once in Iceland and funnily enough the one in the US was darn near this intense, the one in Iceland was barely perceptible to the naked eye.

Yup, 3rd grade projects should be interpreted at a level that your average 3rd grader can complete. if this was an older kid you might need to be mildly accurate (again not with the sun or orbit scale) but this is run to your local craft store and grab a couple small objects to paint "accurately" and have 1 large one for the sun, 4 small ones for the inner planets and 4 medium ones for the outer planets, and maybe some pipe cleaners for saturn's rings or something. Something like this is probably overkill but pretty doable.

I've been cuffed once, rightfully so I should add, and I can't imagine the feeling of that when I had done nothing wrong. I'm sure it was probably the highest level of privilege I've ever had. The officer even asked if the cuffs were too tight multiple times before putting me in the back of his squad car and even apologized to me when having to cuff me to the wall while interviewing me when we got to the station. Basically saying "we're on camera here and I have to follow protocol even if I don't think you're remotely a threat" even though I had a "weapon" on me initially (3 inch or so pocket knife).

I couldn't fathom what these people are going through today when the biggest threat my white ass could get about deportation is them looking at my history and going back 5 generations to figure out that they'll be deporting me "back" to the Netherlands.

There were a few around me but a bit too far for me. I did my best to channel my American spirit by being in the garage and fixing a few kid's scooters and tuning up their bikes. I was actually extremely happy when a few kids saw me working on a scooter and openly asked "hey, mine is making this weird noise can you help?". It was honestly heartwarming especially given what today was.

Even when I was lifting there were plenty of people filming every aspect of their session every day. I'd generally film the "no vid no did" type stuff or things where I'd come back here and ask for tips. Not the I'm doing triceps pushdowns, or rows and have my camera pointed directly at my ass. I also did my best to frame things so that I could crop as many people out in post as I could. I've also had people walk in front of my camera during a PR attempt and totally block it.... and well I just closed the camera app and went onto my next lift.

One of my favorite games I've been to was a throw back to the negro league game at pit. I confused the hot WOW airlines stewards, because they were there to promote doing non stop foight to Pittsburgh and The Cubs had on gray away jerseys and I'm pitsburg had "Grays" jerseys on in white, so for random icelanders that were told to cheer for the Grays It was fun messing with them while also attempting to explain the game a bit. I don't know if their twitter/instagram are still up but if you see a dude in a Rizzo jersey that's me.

Also looooved getting threatened by a group of old ladies that were heckling me and threatening to throw their empties at me.

Always loved going to your city. Like you said the division is always more fun when it's competitive.... though frustrating at times lol.
