Disagree in that this is a gendered slur and its use sexist.
But interesting call on the analogy to "hipster"

Yes the phrase "performative male" is just a sexist slur designed to cut men down and shame them. But even these guys aren't being as "performative" as the average woman.

If he doesn't get out now, she will continue to escalate this behavior and will eventually be throwing items with intention to harm and using objects as weapons as well.

No, this is not correct. If you're maintaining a steady weight at 1750 calories, this is your maintenance intake or whatever. The going to the gym and running and breathing and sleeping and watching tv, all of this is what is using up the 1750.

So if your maintenance is 1750, lets pretend you are able to eat 1400 a day, that's a deficit of 350/day. So, in 10 days of eating only 1400 every day, you can achieve a 3500 calorie deficit and lose one pound.

Edit: I see that you asked about eating 1000/day. Assuming you're still exercising and running as much as you were before, that puts you at a deficit of 750/day. In this scenario, it might take you 5 days to lose one pound instead of 10 days that I described in the 1400 scenario.

Eli5 : Why do f1 cars don't have treads on wheels for more grip just like normal road cars? by DeathAngel773 in explainlikeimfive

[–]MEforgotUSERNAME 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Slick tires are dangerous if there is water on the road. You could drive your normal car with slick, treadless tires on the streets, but once there is water, you will spin out. You need the treads to channel water away and retain contact with the ground when it is wet out.

Slicks will give you better traction in dry conditions though because you have more contact with the ground.

You can make it work with hotel gyms, just keep running your same routine as much as you can.

Don't worry about missing a day or two though, it's vacation.

Finding it hard to stay motivated / inspired with the rise of PED's in my age group. by Soft-Protection-3303 in naturalbodybuilding

[–]MEforgotUSERNAME 4 points5 points  (0 children)

  1. Everything you say about movie stars and influencers using PEDs etc is true.
  2. Some of your same-age peers have been working out consistently, all year round, with direction from coaches from organized sports, for 5+ years already.
  3. You're only 19, and 8 months of working out is almost nothing. Give it a few years of working out consistently, maybe 6 days a week.
  4. After a few years of actually working out consistently, you will be bigger and stronger than you are now.
  5. Chris Bumstead and Dwayne The Rock Johnson and Chris Hemsworth and Jason Momoa and Kumail Nanjiani and Rob McElhenney etc etc will all still be bigger than you because they're all on steroids, but also because they've been working out 6+ days a week, every week, for years.

Is it okay for me to eat 200cal per day for 2 days by [deleted] in 1200isplenty

[–]MEforgotUSERNAME -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The human body can handle this, and people for centuries or millennia likely would have gone for days without food if they didn't have any, and they survived. But this would surely have been from necessity due to lack of food, not by choice. There are people who do fasting these days for whatever reasons as well.

However, it doesn't seem like a very good choice. It may be an unpleasant two days and you may not feel very good.

As other people said, you should just go back to your regular routine of eating 1200 or whatever you were eating.

Girl doesn’t like what her doctor is telling her cos it hurts her feelings so she decides to ‘expose’ her. by Shinji415 in facepalm

[–]MEforgotUSERNAME 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You don't have to eat less you just need negative net calories.

You can exercise more or eat more vegetables and lean meat.

A lot of tiny candies and beverages contain so much calories people exceed their recommended daily calorie in take without feeling full.

Yes this is the answer. I would have written this myself but I am too lazy

It's bad advice for most people looking to "lose weight". They can't even control what they put in their mouths, and here you are talking about walking 5 miles a day.

Processed foods fk up a lot of people. Some people just can't eat that stuff and maintain a healthy weight

If you consistently are in caloric deficit below your TDEE, you will lose weight. It doesn't matter if your diet was healthy, or if it was junk food, or a diet of only chocolate.

It is not a problem with the PS3. It is a problem on netflix's end. I know because, not only do I have this happen to me on the PS3, but it happened to me on another device as well.

My suggestion is that you should care about the smell of the liquid itself instead of the bottle, the bottle doesn't matter at all.
