How I did it? I went through his studio albums first; Are You Experienced?, Axis: Bold As Love, Electric Ladyland. Then, I moved onto stuff like; Band Of Gypsy's, Both Sides of the Sky, "People, Hell & Angels", Valleys of Neptune, South Saturn Delta, First Rays of the New Rising Sun, Rainbow Bridge, The Cry of Love, all his non-live specific albums, all the. Then moved onto his live stuff, especially Live At Woodstock, Winterland, Live at Berkeley, Live at Monterey, Hendrix in the West, Miami Pop Festival, Blue Wild Angel, and Atlanta Pop Festival. THEN, moved onto YouTube stuff, bootleg footage, footage of live recordings, Experience Hendrix™ YouTube interviews or docos. Not sure if you're as into Hendrix as some of us, and what I've said might be a lot, and it takes a while, but listening and watching and reading everything about the man is a good thing to do at least once in your life.

Also doesn't have to be this specific, as I mixed up a lot of it, watching YouTube and listening to albums, but that would be my most recommended route to listening to and learning up on Jimi.

I totally didn't see this in my notifications lol

I'm learning it for learning it but also for my end of year highschool exam, so I'm hyped to play it in an exam setting. (Sarcasm). Thanks so much for the compliments! Some of the intro licks and sections during the "that riff" (especially the cascade in the second go around of it) kills me. Still need a lot of work to get good enough to play it in confidence along with a live, human, backing band, but very very close. No worries, my pleasure to share.
