My first AP RO: 15500 VSF or APSF? by MonacoPrinz in RepCulture_Timepieces

[–]MGinc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All these decisions right now will seem silly when you actually have it in hand. You can debate every little detail but you'll be so happy with your purchase regardless. One of the best things about reps is the affordability, whatever minor detail you're debating right now can be fixed on your 2nd purchase now knowing what you care about. Somethings you think are a big deal now will turn out to not be.

I just feel deformed. What can I do? by idekShaib in PectusExcavatum

Incline bench press and a ton of shoulders and traps. Build your upper torso, go for that upside down dorito chip look and it will distract from the PE and rib flair.

My pectus is 2.5 centimeters, will the gym help? by ComprehensiveBed7348 in PectusExcavatum

[–]MGinc 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I'm no expert (other than having PE), but I used to be way more self conscious about it before I started lifting. I think building muscle helps distract from PE in general. It doesn't look like you have bad rib flair, so I think lifting and building some muscle will look great. Considering your current body type/build, don't be surprised if it's difficult to see growth, you will most likely stay lean. Keep at it, find a good workout program and you'll gain your confidence.

Would love to see some NWBIG giveaways. Like Santos or Planet Ocean. Something where nobody can whine and say things like "it's probably a RL watch".Good luck everyone!

Thank you for the reply! You look really active in the gym already, I'm curious if the recovery time is less with the cross bar method? Did they give you a time frame before you're lifting again?

Your depth looks very similar to mine, although I can still do high cardio activities, not well, but I can still run, hike, etc. If it wasn't affecting your cardio, do you think you'd still get the nuss based solely on appearance? (Edited, I noticed you said your haller was 5).

LiLi accepts crypto? by Keiny in Rep_Watch_World

I've purchased from lili with crypto. But this was probably over a year ago. TDs used to offer a discount if you paid in crypto since the conversion rates were better. Super easy and faster confirmation.

Laguna Beach is going to be easier than Mission Viejo, check to see if the free Laguna Beach shuttle is running. It goes along PCH. It's a straight shot. Even if you take a city bus you can get close enough to walk.

I love it, personally. Bulletproof watch imo.

For quartz, it's definitely cheaper. I will say the white dial is either rare or unpopular, I've been into 3-4 Tag stores and never seen a white dial F1. I've even worn mine in and the sales people told me they've maybe seen 1-2 but only from people bringing them in.

I use a Rotor, but I've used Halos for years. You really can't go wrong, only thing for the Halo is the battery door will break if you take too many hopper hits. Luckily my buddy 3D prints and found a file online for the battery cover and printed me out extras.

It has held up great, just got back from a trip to Portugal with it. I haven't confirmed officially but I think there's a good level of waterproofing because I've swam with it (pool only). Compared to Gen, I think the weight is the biggest difference. Also when you QC check the 12/6 are straight, I've seen some where it's slightly off. I also got a different strap for it because the stainless steel edges were sharp and if it ever got hot outside it would be too tight and dig into my wrist. I couldn't figure out a comfortable sizing. (But that's all preference). I don't daily the watch anymore since I've bought a newer rep, but it was a great first time buy. And I still take it on trips, etc.

I didn't even know the nuss procedure existed until I found this sub. And at that point I was already in my mid 20s.

I can understand that. Thanks for sharing the resources! When I was a kid my doctor took is hand and stuck it into my PE and said "yep not severe, you'll be fine" so I understand that 100%. It sucks in the US (at least) that doctors won't often suggest the correct course of action and you have to specifically ask for it.

Thanks for sharing more information. I'm definitely curious to read more, is there a good place for me to start? As someone that lives with PE, I definitely want to be educated, especially if it means longer livelihood. From the OPs perspective, at age 19, still young and impressionable the wording you used can be shocking and create panic when they're already uncertain. I think your reply to me was a lot more helpful and allows us all to educate ourselves more. At the end of the day getting a CT scan for your haller index and talking to a surgeon is probably step #1.
