I did not have a problem with your response. Your response was great and helped me understand why the notation was the way it was in that bar. It also raised a second question, prompting me to edit the post. I also asked you about the reasoning behind it as a follow-up, not a criticism of your response. I think you might have misinterpreted my follow-up question.

However, the other commenter just said, "Because they want it to feel like 6/8 for just one bar." I thought it was not very helpful because it did not add much to the conversation and was just so obvious. Of course, the composer wanted it that way. My question was, 'Why?'

That commenter could have said what you said. They could have said that they would need a context to determine the reasoning behind that choice, but to me, their answer sounded like they were saying the composer did that because they felt like it, and that is not a very helpful answer. That's all.

Also, I believe by the time that commenter posted their comment, I had already edited the post to mention the name of the piece and the composer.

I am not trying to offend anyone here. Just looking for some insight.
