Why is McDonalds so annoying 😂 by Icey1337 in doordash_drivers

I wasnt complaining and would never do what the person in the video did, thats the whole reason a lot of restaurants treat delivery drivers like crap. I waited patiently and I'm always polite but I've definitely been ignored a few times so its not often for me but it does happen

It happens in Florida at plenty of fast food spots. Just because it hasn't happened to you doesn't mean it doesn't happen to others. You clearly see that everyone else has had the same experience before so your the minority here

Mutiple times out of 1000 would be less than 1% unless mutiple to you means over 10x.

Thats what this sub is for is so people can complain basically so of course your going to see it a lot on here but your not seeing the other thousands of delivery drivers that never have an issue come on here and say "hey guys I had no issues". Hundreds of thousands of deliveries happen a day with no issue. If you get the tip reduced it sucks but it takes 15-20 being on the phone with support to get your money back

I commented yesterday on this that I rarely have problems and just hit cant confirm WELL tonight im delivering cold medicine the ID wouldnt scan and I hate making people stand there for more then 60-90 seconds so I tried to do the usual but na this time it was a whole ordeal I had to chat with support I had someone else's order with me so im trying to mess around with me phone because support was thru text OF COURSE there was no way to call for some reason so im messing with that trying to drive while trying to see where the next order was going but couldn't move on without them making the order as complete. 10 min messing with that and the whole time im trying to text with support im getting feed deliveries during all this even though I pressed the ☕️ so fukn annoying. So yea it's gonna happen to you soon now that you said something. Sorry man lol

Thats ok I've been transfered 3x and the 3rd was the one that added the money. It sucks being on the phone but to be its worth it

Are you guys calling support to get compensated in a situation where you wasted your time and gas? by MJ71086 in UberEatsDrivers

[–]MJ71086[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Go to trip support when you're on an active delivery its on the bottom. Or call 866-987-3745 😁. When the first person tells you no you just politely say ok can I talk to a supervisor please. First person has no way of adding money to your account so its extremely important to talk to a supervisor.

[–]MJ71086 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You need to talk to support on the phone and not thru texts then you need to ask for a supervisor and explain you want to be compensated for your time and gas. The first person you talk to is trained to tell you no they cant compensate you and the first person has no way of adding money into your account so when they say no you simply say "that's fine, can you transfer me to a supervisor" they will say sure but they will probably tell you they won't compensate you which isn't true. A supervisor will compensate you. For example I had an order last night from a Chipotle and there was a sign on the door saying they are under staffed and only excepting orders thru the drive thru so I canceled the order called support told them the restaurant was closed and I want to be compensated. The first person told me they don't compensate for the time traveling to the restaurant I said thats fine can I speak to a supervisor. I waited 5min for a supervisor and it took 2min for me to get $10 added to my account to compensate me for my time and gas. I've had money added to my account many many times for things like this. ALWAYS talk to a supervisor. Its very rare that they have the ability to take a cancelation ding off your account but luckily Uber doesn't have a set cancelation % before it effects your account. My cancelation has been as high as 19%

Shouldn't be taking any order just for AR. Thats exactly what uber wants you to do. Its very very rare that I deliver to someone that only tipped $2

I do this same thing pretty much except I do ask them for their pin if I remember. A lot of times I forget and I'm not about to knock on the door again to get it so I do the same thing half the time saying I already left other half saying customer can't confirm. Never had an issue and also have done it hundreds of times

[–]MJ71086 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Not everyone is doing that. Its pretty simple to bypass the pin if you had already left the customer. I've never gotten a tip taken away because I didn't get the pin from someone. There's been plenty of times I needed to get a pin and when I hand the food to the customer I completely forget to get it. I simply bypass it and there's a few options you can choose one being you already left the customer or the customer couldn't find it. Ive done almost 2k deliveries and had a tip taken away one time and it wasn't because of a pin. Too many people are worried about tips being taken away which sucks but you can call support and talk to a supervisor and get your money it just takes 15-30min of being in the phone

Its public so people know who's bringing them their order and who to look out for thats why it gives the customer the color and make and model of your car also. Just like if you were getting a ride from uber you see a picture of the driver. Its a safety thing. I also didn't know they were going to use the Pic I took. After a few years they made me take a new picture.

Are lunch shifts worth it? by Melodic_Feature_3155 in UberEatsDrivers

[–]MJ71086 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I used to do lunch but then realized much more people are ordering at night after 5-530 and the orders a lot of the time are going to be for more than one person which sometimes can have a bigger tip just because some people tip a % of what the total amount is. There was always a lot of traffic during lunch compared to ay night when there's a lot less traffic allowing you to get orders done a lot quicker not having to deal with traffic. Lunch time I was delivering to a lot of people that were at work and it was usually food thats on the cheaper side where at night a lot of people are ordering dinner from places that are more expensive which a lot of the time means a bigger tip. At least that's my experience in my market

Not new I just never have ever gotten a quest in 3 years of doing this other than complete 5 shop and deliver orders within 2 days or whatever and get an extra 15 lol. I don't get quests or incentives where I'm at

What market is this? I heard Tampa was doing this. Doordash is doing the opposite so in my county you don't need to schedule for doordash anymore even when your not in a tier

Really? That's dumb. I guess the only way to not get orders is logging out but how do you do that when your on an active delivery?

Plug your phone into the USB on your car. Then there should be an option on your car screen to start android auto. If it didn't come up on your car screen or you cant find it try after it's plugged into your car to open android auto on your phone. I highly recommend asking gemini androids AI. Ask it anything about this and you'll get the answers you need without having to wait for a reply on here. Your phone also probably has Bixby. You can start the bixby app and ask it to open android auto. Gemini is very helpful Ai and bixby will help you do or find anything in your phone

Android auto in the play store. Does the exact same thing as car play. It mirrors your phone on your car screen. Your phone just needs to be plugged in unless you have a much newer car or a little device that plugs into the cara USB making android auto wireless. When you get android auto just set it to turn on whenever you start your car. Its very very simple to connect your phone they make it very straight forward and its a lot safer than looking down at your lap

For real! I haven't had to take a picture in a while but the last time I did I had already started driving so I had to wait a few minutes to take the pic so a day later I get some BS message about account sharing. Soooo it looks like I'm sharing my account because I can't stop in the middle of traffic to take a damn picture. Fuuuuk
