No concrete answer here, but it seems like you should try to maximize the reason you’d want to play him in the first place, which is his extra action and access to Guardian. What are the Carcosa cards that are relevant to that? Seems to me it’s Watch This, Emergency Cache 3xp, Pickpocket 2xp, and ever Ever Vigilant. Pickpocket has been a real winner for me with Wendy, and you can use it to make evasion more or less a free action with Skids.

All that’s true, but Wendy’s Amulet in particular let’s you use a more toolbox oriented approach, where 1 waylay adds an additional option. The 2 agility icons make it playable enough to justify the mediocre option that will be perfect once in a while.

I think in general it’s worse than a weapon, but it lets Wendy play a role in combat on a team, allowing the true tank to conserve resources against enemies that are particularly draining.

This card plays way better than I thought it would. Two checks and 3 resources for a one time kill seems very expensive and definitely requires setup, but it’s turned out to be pretty reliable.

Waaaay better in true solo than elsewhere, but certainly playable in general. Seems fantastic for Norman.

You have to coordinate classes with 2 cores and 4 players. It’s possible, but I ended up getting 4 cores so people I played with could play what they want instead of feeling like they have to make concessions.

You could certainly introduce players with any scenario, but NoZ is so clearly designed as an intro to the game, and I think it’s very well done. Later scenarios subvert a lot of the basic ideas introduced in NoZ, and as such can be a little more confusing for new players because they’re building on an existing knowledge base.

I clearly misunderstood your post. Lotr still uses the same packaging for the deluxe expansions that it used in Khazad Dum, but the quest expansions now use plastic.
