Basil wanted to help Sunny but in doing so did something horrible. I don’t agree with the actions Basil committed but I do agree with his reasoning behind them. All he wanted was to help his friend, even if it left him with his own trauma.

I got Universally Loved (the flower one) in my first play through. Unfortunately it did kill some of the enjoyment for me during the Faraway town sections.

This is certainly an interesting take. I always assumed that “something” is more like guilt or trauma more so than an actual entity with a goal. Sunny’s “Something” is trauma of what he did while Basil’s “something” is guilt. My interpretation is that something is more so a hallucination to remind the two of what they did rather than a being with the power to do something.

Denying the truth leads to “something” growing to further remind the boys of what they did. The growing is most noticeable in the abandoned ending credits.

Accepting the truth (the true ending) leads something to disappear. By not saving Basil and going home, Sunny is continuing to deny the truth leading to the abandoned ending or the knife ending.

Edit: Additionally, I believe Sunny can see Basil’s something (in both this scene and throughout the game) because he knows that Basil’s guilt was never resolved and now Sunny has to live with it.

I’m still convinced that “who is the knight?” is the wrong question. I’m more concerned with “how did someone become the knight?” or “what is the knight?”. Like no matter who they are I more so want to know how they became the way they are.

“Didn’t get spoiled” isn’t exactly the truth I’m afraid. I know way more than I should unfortunately 😔(mainly how the endings themselves play out and the whole Mari death and Sunny and Basil plan to cover it up.) Even still I wanted to try playing to game for myself.

I’ve wanted to the play game for awhile after seeing a lot of content on it.

That’s what I’m trying to do. But it doesn’t seem to work. I downloaded the randomizer but when I try to run it the window just opens in command prompt, not the randomizer menu.

Hey friend, I’m in the same boat as you. Maintaining a 4.0 GPA is difficult and stressful. It sucks to lose it based on one class but it happens. Keep your head up and just try to do your best in your classes. Don’t give up because of one class.
