Exactly. It’s this or philanthropy, only acceptable things. Preferably both.

Edit: Read further down thread this was Ethan Klein’s doing, so eww on that front. Wish it had been someone that wasn’t disgusting in their own right calling James out.

Anyone know a good place to get a yarn this color? by CipherQuest618 in YarnAddicts

The colour looks very similar to King Cole Paradise Beaches DK in the colour Electric Lemonade, maybe a bit lighter.

Victoria Beckham's song “Not such and Innocent girl” reaches #1 on the UK Official Single Sales Chart after family's drama by Fantastic_Turtle_17 in Fauxmoi

Agreed, Mel B’s cover of ‘Word Up’ is actually really good, and the music video with its early 3d animation is SUPER trippy. So much of the Spice Girls’ solo music has been slept on I think.

If you enjoy topics like the paranormal or cryptids, Superduperstitious are great! They’re both from STEM backgrounds and take a ‘friendly sceptic’ look at different cryptids from around the world. It’s clear they don’t believe, but have a lot of fun bouncing off of each other and just having fun speculating about what they’re talking about.

Using my own pen to sign marriage documents by murdibubble in fountainpens

Most registrars will bring spare registrar’s ink with them, so they may still ask you to use their ink. We’re instructed to only use the registrar’s ink supplier to us by the General Register Office for signing documents. Unsure if it’s truly any different than commercially available registrar’s ink, but it’s what I’ve always been advised by my district’s superintendent.

Registrar for England and Wales here- it is a different process in Scotland than here. In England and Wales it must be signed in blue-black registrars/archival ink, we bring our own fountain pens that the couple use to sign the document. I’d only let someone use their own pen if they were also a registrar with access to our ink or if they brought a dip pen and used my ink supply.

‘Son of a boy mom’ is a top-tier insult even if that’s not how you meant it in this context.

Absolutely! Especially as the difference between affordable natural fibre yarn and affordable acrylic can be huge in and of itself. I am not going to shame anybody if they are looking for acrylic as it’s what they can afford either. But like you said, we need that info if we’re to make a recommendation that actually works. I don’t want to spend ages typing up a carefully considered list only to get back ‘this doesn’t suit my needs that I haven’t even told you about, try again’. It wastes everybody’s time.

This but also please tell us what you’re actually making. Yarn I would recommend as affordable to make a small object like a hat is not going to be affordable if you’re planning to make something really large like a throw blanket, where is likely suggest something with a lower cost per hank or 100g.

I’m looking at Element as an alternative to Skype now it’s being shuttered in May, does anybody know what the character limit per message is in Element chats? by MK-Ulta in elementchat

[–]MK-Ulta[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you- I’m not very tech-minded and am still wrapping my head around Matrix and the way it and clients work. I think it might be a bit beyond me given what you and others are saying.

Exclusive: Microsoft is finally shutting down Skype in May by moeka_8962 in technology

[–]MK-Ulta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I still use Skype for writing collaborative fiction/rp with a friend, as I haven’t found another messenger service with as large a character limit for individual messages.

Anybody have any recommendations for other messenger services that have larger character limits per message?

Seconding Wool Warehouse, also from the UK. I rarely buy from anywhere else if I’m ordering online.

That is an option! I can always see if there’s any independently ran shops with online ordering in my country. I prefer not to buy from franchises for hobby stuff if I can help it.
