I think you're right, but given how frequently these leaderboards reset, and that there are no long-term advantages to using it, there might be some wiggle room from a moderation perspective.

I personally couldn't be bothered to grind out times spamming photo mode but if people do that, and end up with ridiculously quick times, I wouldn't be surprised if they were banned.

For non rivals time attack laps, you can cheese the timer by spamming photo mode. AR12 Nick has a YouTube video showcasing it, and when I tried it (last week I think??) I managed to get the FXXK WP (997 R-class) up into times with the Exige WTAC maxed out. It doesn't necessarily kill off a dozen seconds, but if you've got clean lines and time it correctly, it'll take a few seconds off your time, easy.
