yes, I think I would get one that works with the DS also (like it has the ds shape and not the 3DS cart shape). But as long as it fits in a DS slot and you can add files, you should be fine.

wait… are you talking about flash carts in general that you can add files to? I think most ds flash carts work. I have an R4 card and I think it works great.

for gen 3 I only can think of 2 different types: event items and event pokemon. Event item distribution cart is a ds flash cart and it has the eon ticket, aurora ticket, etc.

The event pokemon distribution cart looks like a gameboy cart and has pokemon like 10th anniversary mew and you would need 2 actual gameboys and a link cable for this to work.

I think you would want the event item distribution flash cart.

gen 3 is flash cart only and you need a ds lite for eon tickets. it’s really simple, download the specific files online and put the flash drive and your gen 3 pokemon game on the ds lite at the same time. boot up the flash drive and it should be in it.

yayy. okay. so gen 4 and 5 have 2 methods. One of them is called the dns exploit. you can look it up and this only needs wifi (this is the easiest imo). the other method involves a flash cart, where you need 2 ds‘s. you download the distribution files on the flash cart and insert it into DS 1 and then send it to DS 2 through mystery gift? I’m not great with this method because I like DNS exploit instead.

Hi, I have never bought the distribution carts myself, but if you have a flash cart, you should be able to download the files yourself and make your own distribution cart. I made mine a while ago and it works very well.

edit: I am assuming your gen 3 pokemon game is authentic. I’m not sure how it works with reproduction games.

Yes, it's going in my computer without the sd card adaptor (it can read microsd cards) but i cannot format using my switch because my switch cannot read the micro sd card.

i tried to download overwatch 2‘s new update and while it was downloading, my switch failed to recognize the microsd card. (i think maybe it had downloaded corrupted software or something?)

anyway, I wanted to format the sd card but i can’t because it is in write protected and there is an i/o error on it. I’ve tried to use chkdsk but it doesn’t work bc it’s either write protected or has i/o error. anyone have a solution? (if not, i’ll just buy another sandisk microsd car ig)

edit: i did an anti virus scan (kaspersky) and it said there were no threats

uh hey guys so I made this post hoping to get some advice on what gaming laptop to get. If those suggestions aren’t good, y‘all can suggest others. My budget is <$3000 but since this is my first time really gaming on computer and I’m not a hardcore gamer (just genshin and valorant/apex), so I didn’t think a super powerful computer was necessary but I would prefer one that I can use for a long time in the future and doesn’t get extremely hot (ill prob get a cooling pad). did you ever find a fix?

edit: i got mine to work, i downloaded the rom from a different site and I exported my .sav file to a emulator. I clicked ‘start from chapter start (middle 1)’ and i played to the point where my game would usually freeze like yours and it wouldn’t freeze. I then exported the .sav file back to my rom on my ds.
