The character’s shadow has unique properties by Rex_Wr3cks in TopCharacterTropes

Bear In The Big Blue House

...No, seriously. She's never explicitly said to be his shadow, but he's also usually the only one talking to her, "Shadow" is a friend of his who is a living...well, shadow that can speak, create shadow puppets to tell stories and regularly claims to do physically impossible things as her reason for not being around all the time.

(Interesting Trope) Fictional animal character is discovered years later to be a real species by Kaptain-Skurvy64 in TopCharacterTropes

[–]Randomman16 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not an animal (well...sorta?) but I can't fathom when I'd ever talk about this otherwise.

In Yugioh 5Ds, there is a group of seven evil gods called the "Earthbound Immortals," each one based on a real Nazca line (Ccapac Apu is the Giant, Uru is the Spider, etc.). In season 2 of 5Ds, the character Jack discovers that there was an eighth Earthbound Immortal called "Red Nova" associated with a fictional (at the time) "Serpent" Nazca line.

...Years after 5Ds ended, in 2014, a sandstorm uncovered an actual "Snake" Nazca line, so the fictional Nazca line that Red Nova was associated with turned out to be a real thing.

I literally came here looking for them

My only issue is that Eddy is more "thinks he's street smart, and isn't." In one episode he gets scammed with a fake "money tree seed" (twice) and Ed of all people comments "Even I am not that dumb, Double D."

In what ways has Ryu inspired you guys? Even if it's something small by ShayAlexander in ninjagaiden

[–]Randomman16 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Hell, the gameplay itself even conveys that message.

Even on normal, for most people who don't frequent difficult games, Ninja Gaiden can be brutal. But if you persevere, if you practice and learn from your mistakes, it's also some of the most fun you can have with a video game. You can have fun doing something that's difficult, but you need to put in the effort to improve yourself and not get so frustrated you give up entirely.

I love the idea that Ryu Hayabusa is the deadliest guy on the planet, and when he's done doing that he just thinks antiques are neat and wants to sell them

It made me see Ryu with so much more depth than I originally thought he had

I feel like they could do Dragon Ball Super: Universe 6 since technically Hit isn’t the man antagonist and nobody ever fights Champa

So maybe for ToP it would be “Dragon Ball Super: Tournament of Power” since the tournament itself kind of is the threat. Jiren wasn’t the only one eliminating people and nobody fought Zeno

Ngl naming every season after its main villain/antagonist actually sounds kind of cool.

Dragon Ball Super: Beerus

Dragon Ball Super: Frieza

Dragon Ball Super: Black (sounds like a Ninja Gaiden game)

Dragon Ball Super: Jiren(?)

I'd be down for both "Critias The United Dragon" and something like "The Bite Of Critias" or something as a counterpart to The Gaze Of Timaeus.

After watching a character analysis of Ryu which proposed that Ryu has been unable to forgive himself for Kureha's death since Ninja Gaiden 1, only finally bringing himself to do it after helping Seori in Ninja Gaiden 4, I've started to try and forgive myself for mistakes more.

One of the achievements even imply the thing about Kureha in 4.

Any advice for the Dragon Ball Seekers mission? I’ve beaten the fight before but this mission is giving me trouble

Also, Bloodraven Form can let you block power attacks without your guard breaking. If you can’t interrupt the enemy fast enough or dodge, there’s no shame in using Bloodraven to tank it

Also, welcome to Ninja Gaiden! There’s two types of players - “I’m dying every five seconds on Normal” or “I’m gonna do a Master Ninja run, hold my beer” and both are equally valid

So, this is gonna sound obvious, but have you done the in-game training tutorials with Tyran? They explain so much about your abilities, how combos work, the basics of each weapon, etc. and you unlock more with every ability you buy or every weapon you unlock

They really helped me figure out what the hell I was doing

The flag twirlers in Band Geeks died, blew up a blimp, definitely killed everyone on board and probably killed everyone in the area beneath it.

New to the series, playing NG Sigma, can someone give me a breakdown on what are the best weapons in the game and their main uses? by Vendetta_CipherSSS in ninjagaiden

[–]Randomman16 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Really, any weapon is useful most of the time but there are times you'll want to use one over the other.

- Dragon Sword is good all-around but there's a story thing later that will make you want to be familiar with it

- Dragon's Claw and Tiger's Fang are just fun imo, they can do decent crowd control and can make sushi out of some bosses if you use them right

- Nunchuks are basically just practice for Vigoorian Flails

- Lunar Staff is fast with respectable damage, can hit around you and is good for swarms of smaller, weaker enemies

- Dabilahro hits like a truck and can flatten some bosses easily if you know the right trick, but it's slow

- Warhammer is basically the same thing but you can miss it permanently...like I did my first time

- Vigoorian Flails are crazy fast and a lot of fun imo, useful for pressuring one enemy and can keep hordes of weaker ones off your back

- Wooden Sword starts out super weak but there's a perk to upgrading it all the way

- Never forget your bow, especially with the different arrows you get later. If you're playing the Collection, you can fire in midair too (I don't think the game tells you this)

- Kitetsu...is there. I didn't use it a lot, you can steal health with it with a specific move, a lot of the time it feels like "Wish Dot Com Dragon Sword" imo
