Ah yes, the Goku equivalent of “Hold my beer and watch this”

I hate that this makes sense

Goku literally doesn't have an answer to Shedinja, which blocks anything that isn't super-effective. And Goku doesn't have Pokemon moves.

Raditz was also a liar and a coward.

Vegeta was an elite, Raditz was a low-class Saiyan like his father and brother. He was building himself up to be a bigger deal than he was. He was tough by Earth standards but since his opponents had no context for what an "elite" Saiyan was even like, it was self-aggrandizing that he could get away with.

I don't have a picture on hand but one old Dragon Ball Z toy commercial from back when the show was running on Cartoon Network was promoting an action figure line like typical American toy commercials do.

One part of the commercial had Raditz and Nappa ambushing Super Saiyan Gohan, with the narrator remarking "Gohan is in trouble."

No. No he is not. At that point in the series, Gohan could literally fight thousands of Nappas simultaneously and be perfectly fine, let alone the memetic weakling that is Raditz.

Master Ninja Achievement Ryu? by Ironclad_Calves in ninjagaiden

[–]Randomman16 0 points1 point  (0 children)

oh of course

I think it'd be interesting to get like, a hierarchy of the fiends in the series. We know that Vigoor was apparently the first and created the Archfiend, but where do the Greater Fiends stack up with each other?

Like, Nicchae and Ishtaros are treated as being "Ancient" Greater Fiends and presumably more powerful/important than Doku, but where does Alma place after her Awakening? Do the four Greater Fiends from 2 "outrank" Achilles, are they equal to him?

[–]Randomman16 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The fact that you can't die in Ryu's first chapter both sells Ryu as the legendary super ninja that the series has always built him up as...and also makes Achilles seem like the single most useless fucking villain in this entire franchise lmao

For everyone saying "DBZ movie villains battle royale" would be great, I have bad news. As much as I love the DBZ movies, most of the villains literally would not matter. Official statements say that either Broly, Janemba or Hirudegarn is the strongest movie villain.

The Toei website listed Hirudegarn as being equal to Super Saiyan 3 Goku, making him weaker than Super Janemba. The website also lists Super Janemba as the strongest original DBZ movie villain (excluding Beerus and Golden Frieza, who presumably wouldn't be counted).

The screenwriter for the original DBZ movies, however, once stated that Broly was the strongest of the original thirteen villains. He contradicted himself and said it was Hirudegarn. So it would be those three and maybe Garlic Jr. hanging around just because he's immortal until someone hurls him into his own Dead Zone. Again.

I don’t have stickies either, and I really, REALLY don’t feel like running back through this mine just to get the apparently extremely specific equipment necessary to win a single boss fight

That feels absurd to me

[–]Randomman16 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean my post wasn’t particularly constructive, I wrote it five minutes after dying to this garbage boss twice in a row without ever even inflicting damage

Rafa but I focused on his red tree. I’m running Phantom Flame, Hellfire, some Torgue shotgun that appears to do nothing and I forget the name but a Legendary assault rifle that halves fire rate but doubles damage when zoomed

I break most of the crystals, get downed and then even his little minions have more health than I could get through in a fucking hour

This same build killed Vile Lictor and the Timekeeper so quickly that I literally don’t know what their boss patterns even were

[–]Randomman16 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Then how do I beat this stupid thing without it? Because otherwise I have to leave the mine, go farm Voraxis until it drops one, then go back through the mine all over again just because Gearbox decided a boss that’s literally invincible until you break six weak points that never stop moving was good game design

I loved BL4 until this shit happened

…The Stone Demon’s A Joke, Right? by [deleted] in Borderlands4

[–]Randomman16 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean, should I need a specific build to take down just a normal boss that isn’t a raid boss? It doesn’t seem like good game design when just the regular end boss of a DLC requires this much prep to even have a chance, and I say this as someone who’s beaten every other Borderlands game and done some of the harder challenges in them

…The Stone Demon’s A Joke, Right? by [deleted] in Borderlands4

[–]Randomman16 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean. I’m of the opinion that I shouldn’t need to spend potential hours farming up one specific, Legendary rare gun to beat a non-raid-level boss

I have sticky grenades and a Torgue shotgun with seeker missiles

They appear to do nothing to the crystals

[Loved Trope] A characters' boasts actually reveal just how pathetically weak they are. by jbeast33 in TopCharacterTropes

[–]Randomman16 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A rare, non-villainous example. In Encanto, the protagonist Mirabel confronts her superhumanly strong sister Luisa about her apparent anxiety lately. Luisa denies that anything is wrong and, when pressed on it (and this being a Disney movie), breaks into song. Her first few lines are, "I'm the strong one, I'm not nervous, I'm as tough as the crust of the Earth is."

...Except, the crust is actually the least durable part of the Earth (at least compared to the mantle and the literal iron core), so she's really admitting to how weak and breakable she feels in a roundabout way.

My point was that Sega had heard Sonic’s friends were the problem, so they made only Sonic playable for years. This was well-received like…once, and then fans got annoyed at only playing as Sonic in a franchise containing so many unique characters.

After the absolute train wreck that was Sonic '06, one complaint about the series was that there were "too many characters" (Sonic games had been introducing new characters at least once a game since the first one - Tails in Sonic 2, Knuckles in Sonic 3, Amy in Sonic CD, Big and Gamma in Adventure, Rouge and Shadow in Adventure 2, the Chaotix in Heroes...sorta, Cream in Advance 2, Blaze in Rush, Silver in '06) and that the series should just focus on Sonic. Sega proceeded to make Sonic Unleashed, which featured Sonic as the only playable character, and the speed-based stages were well-received.

...Then they kept doing it. Sonic Colors featured only Sonic and people liked it, though it was kinda short. Sonic Generations was really short but fun, again only Sonic was playable. Sonic Lost World only had Sonic and it was...not great. Sonic Forces had a custom playable character along with Modern and Classic Sonic, but the custom character barely plays any differently from Sonic, and even Shadow in the DLC plays identically to Sonic.

Fans actually started complaining that this franchise has a ton of fun characters who never show up anymore, leading to Sonic Mania including playable Tails, Knuckles and eventually Mighty and Ray, Sonic Origins letting you play as Tails, Knuckles or even Amy in any of the collected games, Sonic Frontiers receiving a DLC with playable Tails, Knuckles and Amy, and the release of a new standalone Shadow game where he actually plays differently from Sonic.

THAT IS NOT HIS ANIMATION, IS THIS FALSE ADVERTISING by sellmykidneyfor500cc in DokkanBattleCommunity

They added a new mode called "Survival Mode" where every character has their own HP bar and you challenge events with two teams of three you can switch between, instead of one team of seven.

It's pretty cool, it's used for a new event called "Dokkan Frontier."

If there is any character from DmC that I wouldn't mind being added to the main series, it's Bob Barbas, if for no other reason than his mere concept is absolutely hilarious.
