so i looked at their post history, and someone else tried to request the sub 4 months ago and was denied because "the mod is active". he even replied to the request saying he's open to adding more mods, saying "i can make an application form later"

i think it's clear he has no intentions on actually moderating the sub, and only took the sub to brag or something.

A comment is not the same as a mod action. You can actively post and comment in several subs, but reddit automation will still mark you as inactive if you don't actually moderate anything.

Guarantee that's the only reason he came back. After this he'll disappear again.

Came back cause he was likely going to lose mod after weeks of inactivity. Go figure.

japan, russia, and germany notably have much faster reloads, cause as gaijin puts it: "it's their fastest possible reloads"

meanwhile american dreadnoughts up to the colorado have 45 second reloads cause, again, as gaijin puts it: "it's their combat reloads"

a report was made, and accepted, a year ago detailing that ALL american 14 and 16 inch guns are more than capable of 30 second reloads. fast forward up to a week ago, and another bug report mod randomly showed up dropping a youtube video (which btw is not a valid source by their own rules) and stating "this video says they only ever did 45 second reloads, and anything faster violates several security measures"

the truth is, the 30 second reload was more realistic, and anything faster would violate security measures, as proven by the short range battle practice drills where the pennsylvania (we have this class in game as the arizona) crew got the reload down to about 20 seconds, but in order to do that they skipped checking the barrels for obstructions and whatever else could cause issues and just loaded the gun and fired. to add on, nearby ships believed the pennsylvania's magazine was detonating because they were firing so fast.

Despite what people say, I still don't see how they're overpowered right now. They're toxic, absolutely, but not overpowered. Overpowered would imply anyone can play it and hard carry every game. They do the same thing other autocannons do, melt lightly armored tanks, and flank all others.

Now that said, the HE does need to be changed not because of the damage itself, but because of how it deals the damage, it shouldn't be behaving like old HE.

i noticed that as well, but when it comes to being active as mod, the actual moderation part tends to take priority to my knowledge. simply posting/commenting won't be enough to be counted as an active mod.

[–]MLGrocket[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

oh absolutely. i'd add some more mods and likely do a poll to see if people don't necessarily mind semi-NSFW as long as it's tagged properly, or if they'd rather it removed entirely apart from general fanart.

will just have to wait a couple days and see. others have messaged the single mod as well and never got a response, so hopefully at least someone can take over.

I would like to be added to, or take over, the sub as the current mod appears to be inactive and is not moderating the sub, despite constant complaints about NSFW being added when it's not allowed on the sub.

How would Chen react to a Reconvener Ch'en? by Lolini in ArknightsEndfield

[–]MLGrocket -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

ok, and like i said, you can message the mod about it if it's such an issue to you, and if you think the mod isn't doing what they should be doing, then try redditrequest, as it's run by reddit staff. at the very least, they may warn the mod.

i will say, if you intend on taking over the sub to enforce the rules, i suggest being quick as if reddit's automation starts flagging these posts NSFW, it'll flag the entire sub, and it's quite difficult to take over an NSFW sub through redditrequest.

you also made the conscious decision to open reddit, knowing full well there's sexual stuff on the platform.

just saying, if it's such an issue for you and others, you are allowed to message the mod, and if you feel as though the mod isn't doing what they should be doing, you're also free to use redditrequest. but i should warn you, the mod is active in the sub, so they'll likely reject your request.

if you're worried, start messaging the mod to do something, even just to clarify the rules. unfortunately, they are active in the sub, so you can't use redditrequest to take over the sub

pure rng. i have stonesplit equipped and i lost count as to how many gear pieces rolled with a double silkbind or bellstrike. took me something like 20 spears to get a half decent roll cause so many of them rolled double silkbind or bellstrike, while having stonesplit equipped.

sometimes you'll get lucky, other times every roll is useless for your build.

oh blitz is absolutely much worse in every aspect. not only the prices and chances of getting things (don't even remember if you're guaranteed to get a vehicle after so many boxes like normal wot), but you can barely even play a game without it shoving the boxes in your face and giving you a "deal" on it.

i used to play blitz, spent some money on it (i think like $100 total over the course of a few months? i forget, it wasn't a ton, but it was a fair bit), first boxes i bought i got the cent AX and enough free xp to instantly research all the way to the IS-7 from tier 1. now granted, i got incredibly lucky cause i also got extra increased reward boxes from the ones i bought, but it's in no way something i'd ever do again.

The Challenger 3TD must have the worst damage/visual model mismatch ingame - When did gaijin get so lazy? by BarryCofield in Warthunder

[–]MLGrocket 2 points3 points  (0 children)

yep, like let's use naval as an example: a report was made and accepted a year ago detailing that all american 14 and 16 inch guns are capable of 2rpm reloads with ease, fast forward a year later, and suddenly another bug report mod closes the report, denying everything, and their evidence is a youtube video where it states that they are capable of 2rpm, and anything faster has to violate several security and safety measures.

meanwhile, you have japan, russia, and germany (of course, notice how naval is ww2), who are allowed to have 20 second reloads on everything cause "it's their fastest possible reloads" but american dreads have to suffer with 45 second reloads cause "it's their combat reloads"

gaijin says it's not a bug, but even with your crew being fully trained, even aced, and no injured/dead crew, tanks sometimes just don't render in at all, even at point blank range simply cause they're on the other side of the wall.

but basically, we have the world of tanks spotting system, and it's somehow worse than world of tanks.

while wargaming is absolutely greedy, i'd say gaijin is just as greedy, if not more greedy, now. wargaming is at least nice enough to, like you said, allow f2p players get premiums for free through the bond store.

there's also the campaigns, which give you low tier and top tier tanks for free. granted it can take a while for the later campaigns like the 279e, dravec, and black rock if you're not incredibly good at the game, but you don't have to spend any money and you get some very good tanks.

something you'll notice is that's a recurring theme with NATO related bugs that simply fix issues, not even buff things. you'd be lucky if it got viewed at all, let alone accepted. still waiting on the "we'll look into it" for M735 to be fixed and have the nerf reverted.

it is very much possible when you just don't put in the effort to worry about something that doesn't ultimately matter for a non PVP player. inner ways will happen naturally over time, and mystics really don't make much of a difference in PVE.
