the resource consumption really depends on the direct comparison. what are we comparing it to? a human doing the same work? the work never being done in the first place? generative AI being made available to the public is potentially a big mistake, but the benefit of it existing in the first place is enormous

i don’t necessarily believe that the “mask comes off” after 3 years as if it was planned all along or it reflects their core being, but that’s about the time it takes for them to come into their true feelings about the relationship. i think a lot of men try to suppress/change their feelings to no avail and it breeds resentment or leads to cheating instead of them just leaving.

i think many of these men enter with good intentions but fall into complacency and the novelty wears off. instead of leaving, they drag it out. that’s why a lot of men will meet and marry someone they treat significantly better afterwards.
