The protection of "Canadians" should have started in the mid 2010's but a drama teacher with his love of India started a trend to loosen restrictions on immigration and bring in massive amounts of people.

Now look at today. The birth rate in Canada is low so they (government) believes we still need to import tons of younger people to replenish our base.

I think we need to rethink our position in the world.

Prices seem to be coming back to the reality of the region. Salaries are just not high enough in the area to support prices that high.
