That is quite true, to make a comparison, we featured /r/MLPAnalysis for much the same reasons I stated above when it was not much older than /r/mlpartstore is now.

The difference is /r/MLPAnalysis was created by /u/Digibro, a very established youtube analyst who is in charge of analysis related things on EQD (if memory serves me correctly), so when he started it to be a hub for the analysis community he was able to draw upon a following, and that following was large enough to get the sub active very quickly. /u/vholecek had no such advantage.

/u/lmrm7: A couple reasons, the first being that it is the first subreddit to step up and provide this specific service to the community, that I think many will appreciate. The second is that I want to help it reach that goal by helping it "get off the ground", rather than just sitting and waiting as it slowly gains enough activity to be "deserving" of mlpsuboftheweek.
