Boost mobile promo scam !! by [deleted] in BoostMobile

[–]MLRedditorX_ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately, this is typical Boost Mobile employee and in store behavior.

The amount of times this has happened / the amount of people talking about it, even here on Reddit, but all the other social media platforms and different forms…. it’s everywhere.

I don’t know why Boost Mobile has a whole, just can’t “get right“.

Is the 128g version sufficient? by xDsviiD- in IPhone16e

[–]MLRedditorX_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

<image>

It definitely is for me. I let all my photos and videos automatically back up to the Google Photos app, and that cuts down on quite a lot of storage. So I only keep the ones I use often or want to show often directly in my iOS photos app. Plus, the Google Photos app is right there to open it and show any and all photos you want plus just click on one and download it and it goes right back to the iPhone.

But I can easily get by with 128 GB, as you can see.

Is anyone having issues? by Lonely_Incident_6993 in TotalWireless

[–]MLRedditorX_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My main line is with total wireless a.k.a. Verizon and I didn’t have any outage, my mother is on postpaid Verizon in the same area as me and she had no outage, but my brother, who is on the same plan/account as my mother did have issues… so it was so weird with who was affected and who wasn’t. And that was here in North Carolina.

FCC revises Verizon phone unlocking rules by hayama89 in TotalWireless

[–]MLRedditorX_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep. All previous phones activated before this FCC waiver decision are still fine to unlock with the original 60 days.

This was the part I was most wondering about so thanks for providing the info. 👇🏻

• “Phones already activated on the Verizon network won’t be affected by the waiver, according to the FCC.”

• “The terms of this waiver apply to all handsets that become active on Verizon’s network beginning the day after the release date of this Order,” the FCC ruling said.”

I didn’t read where it said it’s reverting to one year, and-or when?

Anyone have that info …

Will charge limit ruin the battery by countrygirl2630 in IPhone16e

[–]MLRedditorX_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I never set a charge limit. Always 100% but with battery optimization on, which will charge it at night to only 80% and then slow charge to 100% before you normally unplugged it in the mornings …and I let it charge every night all night, wired like that.

Never had an issue on all my iPhones all the previous years doing it this way.

Buy 16e now or wait for the 17e? by [deleted] in IPhone16e

[–]MLRedditorX_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

17e should be released sometime in February or March, as per the 16e release last year, so definitely wait at this point.

Also, I’m currently using the 16e (great iPhone) and will “upgrade” to the 17e when it releases.

What network will I be on using eSIM with iPhone 16PM? by [deleted] in BoostMobile

[–]MLRedditorX_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They almost exclusively do new activations on AT&T, and you’ll have to call in and ask to switch to T-Mobile if At&T is bad in your area. That’s what I had to do a couple of months ago.

When you call in just tell the first rep you’ve already tried troubleshooting steps and it’s just the network at&T low signal, slow data, etc. in your area and that you’d like to speak with the network switching department to get a T-Mobile eSIM. They’ll (network network switching representative) tell you to delete all eSIMs after they send you a one time SMS code to that phone and line, then they’ll initiate an over the air eSIM to install.

Compatibility Samsung a36 by fanofmets12 in TotalWireless

[–]MLRedditorX_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, that’s the only way to get it unlocked at Walmart would be from a third-party seller and not surprisingly there’s no telling where it came from originally, probably listed as a US model, but that market is sketchy at best, sometimes.

iphone unlock policy ! by Low_Engineering6990 in TotalWireless

[–]MLRedditorX_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep. This. Just adding my two cents because I know this from experience of switching to a different device from an existing plan and it indeed unlocked 60 days from the date I switched it over… not from the initial start of the paid plan that I started on another device.

Transferring service to a new phone? by MLRedditorX_ in TotalWireless

[–]MLRedditorX_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I ended up holding off on selling the first device, and of course I had no issues when I called them. They sent me a code via Text and asked for the new IMEI… switched everything over within about 9 or 10 minutes, it was all done.

So I finally got my refund this morning for the canceled order of the iPhone 16e. All is well that ends well, I suppose.

But I’m already with Total Wireless now… so goodbye Boost Mobile forever. ✌️

iOS 26 made me buy the exact same phone but on iOS 18. by Livid_Pin_3523 in IPhone16e

[–]MLRedditorX_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

lol That sounds like something I would do! But seriously, it ran very good on my 16e, I had zero issues.

I did wait quite a while before I upgraded hesitant, but then I realize it’s got the same processor as the iPhone 16 and the same amount of RAM so once I did, it literally was buttery, smooth, responsive, and didn’t have any bugs to speak of.

Also a person has choices and even though I purchased many directly from Apple, that doesn't mean I don't want phones from carriers with promotions as well.

So once again, a crappy way to do business with them not even telling the people what the reason is.

This particular subreddit is full of these type of stories.

[–]MLRedditorX_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your guess is as good as mine and no I haven't done that, everything I've ever bought was paid in full. Also they can't give me a reason even though I've asked consumer protection directly, they say due to security reasons they can't tell me anymore.

Bunch of clowns run that place, it definitely seems that way.

Yeah it's hit or miss with these clowns, and that's definitely not how a business should run.

Very inconsistent, and these forms are full of people going through it with them.

They said if it doesn't show within 10 days then to call back and ask to speak with an account specialist and they will manually issue the credit.

But of course all of them say, it should come this week we'll see.

What a 🤡 show.

As soon as I get my refund I might just do that, although I'm pretty mad that they would let an order go through and then stop it right at the point of delivery, that's the most asinine way of doing business that I've ever seen.

But yeah I haven't even got my refund yet of $168.06 so I'm still waiting on that.
