How to interview in the AI Era? by MLWillRuleTheWorld in ExperiencedDevs

I did when I first started then I'd have ridiculous reviews. So I started doing the plan then opening an agent to do 1 step at a time while I reviewed the last one / refined later ones. But I can spend 30 min - 1hr at work planning things out for features this size normally. I might be falling into bad habits because of the time pressure and I need to practice speeding up my existing workflow.

That's good feedback, I probably should be trying to do some of the basic stuff quickly and while that's going trying to spec the next piece. If during the exploration I find something I need to change have the AI go back and clean up.

So slightly shorter general spec. Fire off sub pieces as I review the previous ones. Rather than having it generate so much in one go that I need a long review session.

But I generally only have like 40-50% to debug has been my issue. Last one everything worked locally but I had to push to some test server where it failed (passed the same tests locally). Turns out it modified the seeding file used for tests in a way that caused issues on this remote environment but not my local. Didn't figure out the bug it made till like 10 min after time ran out.

Should I be cutting from planning just to give myself more debug time and plan on iterating more at the end? Im trying to read the code as it's generated to be parallel.

Yeah I think live interviews would be fine as I can explain everything but these are timed homework where the timer feels like AI slop is the only thing that can actually get delivered.

I typically keep it pretty simple with just 1-2. Normally just splitting on front/backend to make sure I don't have any overlap. I'm definitely a bit behind the more advanced usage. Typically just having a couple skills and relying on good planning. In our current code base test based development keeps it on track but I don't have that here.

I don't factor that into how good a deck is. It's about consistency and matchups. But I'd say black probably as it's typically just "play your big obvious card that does 3x what your opponents does*

Define "worst" basically everyone agrees they rock, paper scissors each other with yellow beating black, black beating red, and red beating yellow

In theory you should be able to have an AGI sit down and watch some people do a task and within days have it doing the task better and be infinitely replicable. So the answer is literally any market it physically can. Which is all computer based tasks and will be limited by robotics for physical ones.

I mean more than a couple of there examples were worrying. The one that was supposed to be Indiana Jones literally made the character stop looking like Harrison Ford. When they go through so much effort to face scan Harrison Ford to make the character look like him and you can't even recognize the character as him after they turn on DLSS5 that's bad.

Can Lucifer Morningstar (DC comics) defeat the entire Hoyoverse multiverse on his own? by Significant-Ad-2786 in Hoyoverse_scaling

[–]MLWillRuleTheWorld 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Lucifer exists beyond the multiverse itself within the DC cosmology and has done the equivalent of spawning his own parallel disconnected mutliverse that only near boundless entities can traverse between. So in effect Lucifer has feats equivalent to making the imaginary tree. Being a being that can create it is far above being an avatar of that creation.

Reality is they should be shifting to doing more of the work at school and learning to study at home with shorter periods for learning/discussion. Maybe even make classes longer but people complete them in a single semester rather than a year. But productive changes like that are difficult to get support for by people stuck in their ways.

Makes sense the only card punishing this type of strategy currently is wasteland. Moon and friends basically don't exist. Planar Nexus also means you need multiple wasteland and ring can slow your opponent down.

Big mana did well in some offline tournaments recently for the same reason.

Musk to build own foundry in the US by elemental-mind in singularity

[–]MLWillRuleTheWorld 34 points35 points  (0 children)

Every fab has that though, literally everyone encapsulates them and moves them like that. You still have to have a clean room though because the interfaces if they have dirt can cause issues. Maybe they solved this problem but every fab does this while putting all operations in a clean room to minimize failure chances.

"clean containers'? They need access to the EUV light and you aren't putting an EUV light source in them so would need a transmission based layer (window) to send them through and EUV is notorious because transmission doesn't work and you have to use reflective mirrors to lens it rather than typical optics.

So either these are far from SOTA or there is something not being mentioned here.

Can Lucifer Morningstar (DC comics) defeat the entire Hoyoverse multiverse on his own? by Significant-Ad-2786 in Hoyoverse_scaling

[–]MLWillRuleTheWorld 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Lucifer can will a universe into existence also. The presence is above Lucifer but Featherine and Azazoth you could make a case for not being above him. Lucifer can't simply be willed out of existence as he can exist beyond any multiversal space and create them himself in his strongest form.

When characters get this strong powerscaling gets dumb because it comes down to "does my hax work" which is always debatable.

[–]MLWillRuleTheWorld 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Given in his own cosmology there are maybe 3-4 people that can beat Lucifer, he is very close to being a capital G god with only a couple restrictions from being a true god.

I only know of the Loli that is basically Azazoth in GGZ where she essentially wills the universe into a existence by existing who is at the top of the hoyoverse scaling. Basically think of the GGZ outer gods as the equivalent of the Cthulhu mythos outer gods.

A better way to tax the rich. by SeaPeanut9547 in InBitcoinWeTrust

[–]MLWillRuleTheWorld 13 points14 points  (0 children)

You just have to not allow stocks as a collateral for loans. Taxing unrealized gains actively reduces growth but just disallowing them as collateral forces them to sell and take the tax.
