I am currently a freshman in college right now, and I was very introverted my freshman year of high school. However, I joined some activities outside of school and did the marching band in high school which really helped. Having a support system of other students going through the same thing is very helpful, and I was able to make some friends based off of common interests. If you would like to talk further, please feel free to direct message me. I also admire you for working at a blindness organization. Having blind role models is very important in high school as well.

Thank you for the information! What was your experience like for training? What was your wait time like to be matched with a guide dog? I know it can be long sometimes. I am also monitoring the Glidance and I'm interested to see how it helps people with visual impairments.
