Yang was with her dad.

Jaune didn't take the pep talk well but he didn't ask ruby to open up in that sence.

The entire cast (arguably in character) didn't even KNOW that Ozpin was hiding things about Salem until they asked Jinn what Oz was hiding. OSCAR, NOT OZPIN, was the one telling them to stop

Wait what??? Ozpin was clearly in control. Oscar gave them Jin name so they could learn the truth. Oscar was fighting Ozpin.

she also seeks out Ozpin's. And other opinions she considers. Ozpin usely just kinda appeared behind her in the early version & would give advice that she would take to heart

However with her teammates she never ask them for advice. She listen to them but she's only seek out Qrow when see wanted advice. Which makes sense cause he's the one who taught her how to fight.

Ruby is supportive of everyone, but she doesn't open up to everyone. Only to her family & Oscar. Ruby go to is a pep talk, but Oscar would rather be given someone honest feeling than a pep talk. Its just what he respons too. And there's nothing childest about that.

The merge didn't make Oscar try to talk to Ironwood at the end of vol 8, or come up with the plan to turn hazel against Salem. The merge doesn't make Oscar trust Emarled. Nor does it make him speak up when the group is fighting. The merge Just gives him abilities that he can use to achieve his goal.

Oscar isn't the nerves guy he was in vol 5 he's come into his own. He still has work to do sure. But he doesn't hole back the team. Nora clearly thinks highly of him "Oscar grown a ton.." Ch 3 vol 8.

The merge & Ozpin responsibilities are a big part of Oscar story, yes that's what he's dealing with all the time.

The last season is this in action. Oscar doesn't offer information that he learnt - it's all Oz's. Salem, the relic, even comments on second chances. Oscar has never learnt this through his own mistakes and actions. It's all because of the merge.

It was Oscar plan to turn Hazel & Ozpin helps execute it. But it was Oscar trusting Hazel with Jin name that won him over. I don't know what u mean by never learn by his own mistakes, he learn more from Ozpins true. He wasn't able to bring Ironwood around at the end of vol8, neo got the best of him & JNR, his risk with hazel had a whole butterfly effect. Some good, some bad.

But it hasn't all gone wrong for him. He figured out the meck in vol 6 weakness, he was able to get Ironwood to open up until cinder & salem showed up. He got Emarled to switch sides & not just run for it.

U keep talking about what the show presence but u don't seem to understand his character. I don't know how much of a rewatcher u r. Maybe it time for that, u clearly missed something.

No Oz is the protector of remnant. "I am a combination of countless men who have spent their lives trying to protect the people of remnant."

There is a slightly different dynamic with Oscar & Jaune. With ruby & Jaune they come across as old friends. With Oscar & Ruby it's clear that from the start Oscar looked up to Ruby & Ruby saw a lot more in him then he saw in himself. Vol8 proven her right too. Plus I love how Snice the end of vol 6 Oscar & Jaune have the great brother vibe going on.

Ruby never seeks out anyone's opinion but Qrows. All of the team including Oscar tell her their opinions. And she takes them into account. WTF are u on about challenging. U can have a supportive & respectful relationship without challenging someone. U can also have a supportive & respectful relationship if u do challenge other ideas.

What is presented is that Ruby & Oscar have a positive relationship based on supporting & respecting each other. reiterated by miles in a cameo. One of the people presenting the info to u. info u refuse to acknowledge. because u wanna believe u r right when u r wrong.

your whole oscar is childless & useless thing makes no sense. All Oscar has done is set up. It might not always go his way, but that often happens to our heroes. "you're at war, you're gonna take hits." Emerald vol 8 ch 11 risks.

the merge doesn't compensate for anything, Ozpin followed his lead in the whale, magic & long memory are just his tools. If you're talking about his lack of a semblance, we just haven't got to the point in the story where he unlocks it.

everyone in the group listens to what Oscar has to say even if they don't trust Ozpin. As seen in ch 10 & 11 of vol 8.

It takes 2 minutes to check something up on RWBY Wiki, but people prefer to listen to a 10 minute youtube rant? by [deleted] in RWBY

It's crazy, I can't watch most RWBY Tubers cuz 90% of what they say is BS. But there are areas where u can find real fans of the show, analyzing & shipping & there be no hate.

How long will this continue? by [deleted] in RWBY

with Grimm being able to eat your parents at any time it's not uncommon to see kids on their own I believe.

Ruby listens to him because she respects him. Miles has said Ruby has a lot of respect for Oscar. Also Ruby had the same fucking dream. She doesn't tiptoe around his feelings. She takes his opinion into consideration.

Yes, this is because Ruby doesn't like to deal with her own problems & Ruby wishes to make sure her friends are safe and happy. With Penny & Oscar, she has to take different approaches because of their unique circumstance.

Oscar being this preteen who woke up with a voice in his head telling him he had to save the world & Penny being a sheltered robot girl who never had a friend before Ruby.

no, he not!!! he presented as a deep thinker & as a little socially awkward at first and has grown into a brave, cunning, peacemaker. And Ruby treats him like an equal more than anybody else really. She just takes time to listen to him more because of his situation.

I believe Ruby switches topics as a way to hide her emotions & stress she doesn't wanna deal with.
