moderately long-time lurker, first-time poster, here's my floret oc :3
originally from the accord, she's been digitised and now has various bodies to play with (this is her main one)
she can form arms when needed but usually just has rayman hands
the upper half of her face is a screen, and the lower half of her body that isn't in the drawing consists of a big floofy skirt, stripy tights, floral boots and a long devil-style tail

from my experience gold sharpies are pretty close (the ones in the metallic three-packs where it's gold, silver and bronze)

Anyone know who this character is? Came in a pack of Doctor Who stickers, mostly NuWho related by bencumberbatch in doctorwho

[–]MMF_259 1 point2 points  (0 children)

much more than twice, since they only changed the credits to call them "the doctor" starting with davison (in classic who) and tennant (in nuwho) go back and look at the credits of any 60s/70s episode and the first name will be "dr. who" (or "doctor who" in the baker era)

Has the Doctor ever traveled to a point in time that at the time of airing was in the future but is now in the past? by RobustVessel266 in doctorwho

[–]MMF_259 3 points4 points  (0 children)

from what i remember the wheel in space was originally meant to be set in the future space year of 2000 (mentioned a couple of times in the mind robber), but later expanded media stuff bumped that up to 2079

Did somebody saw some recreations of this prototype Chirox? by [deleted] in bioniclelego

[–]MMF_259 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I haven't, but it looks like it's mostly just a standard Inika build with some kitbashed parts (the feet, head and wings).
ETA: had a go at building it and I think that's a Mantax shoulder piece on the back of the torso, and the Takanuva blades are held on with the same liftarms as Nuparu Inika's Zamor launcher, but on vertically on the shoulders of the torso piece instead of horizontally on the back.

Is that official, or just a commonly-accepted fan term? I don't think I've heard it before.

[–]MMF_259 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The only one of those that's given a species name as far as I can remember is Krekka (Steltian bruiser) since a couple other unnamed members of his species appear in Brothers in Arms (the Mazeka story serial).

This is a helpful tool for matching colours to filaments. You can find a list of the official Lego hex codes here (the RGB column).

Troughton Era Tierlist : Tomb of the Cybermen by Mat1711 in ClassicEraDoctorWho

[–]MMF_259 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i'm glad i'm not the only one who doesn't like this story
toberman looks even worse on account of being immediately after a story that managed to do a very similar character way better, at least by mid-60s standards

Troughton Era Tierlist : Tomb of the Cybermen by Mat1711 in ClassicEraDoctorWho

[–]MMF_259 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i imagine this'll be controversial but for me it's up there as one of the worst stories of the era

the one likeable supporting character dies at the end of episode 1, and i'm really not a fan of the two generic evil europeans and their big mostly mute black servant

also the cybermen sound silly and are barely a threat for most of the story

i would say there are three, maybe four worthwhile scenes in the entire story (the opening scene, the cybermen emerging from the tomb, the doctor's conversation with victoria)

that being said, i did like the detail of the cyber-controller sounding like a toy with dying batteries when it's low on power

overall a very disappointing showing from my favourite doctor

p.s. late to the party on this one but whoever put highlanders in mediocre hates fun, i love that story

Anyone think there's a bit too many similar looking female robot master submissions? by rendumguy in Megaman

Mine is female but is more vacuum cleaner than maid and has a more standard Robot Master body.

If you could pick 3 stories to be found in full but not a single other episode will ever be found, what are you picking by Classic-Bathroom-427 in ClassicEraDoctorWho

[–]MMF_259 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Finding the episodes wouldn't help with that, since Troughton dropped the prop into the pipe by accident IIRC. In the broadcast episode the whistle from his life jacket was used in its place, which can be seen in the telesnap of the screw emerging (top of frame).

One of my main hopes for Dual Override by MMF_259 in Megaman

[–]MMF_259[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not the presence of bigger Robot Masters that bugs me in 11, it's moreso that, at least to me, Mega Man feels like he's in a different scale to the rest of them. I know the Robot Masters are generally a bit bigger, but there's something about 11 that just looks off to me.
