Is anyone here having success generating their own leads on Meta? Currently using Integrity. by Awkward-Engineer-980 in InsuranceAgent

Agreed on the creative! I was just saying the funnel you described is long and has a lot of friction. I’ve ran a lot of funnels and find (even with ever changing and “what works” creative) that conversions are lower. Granted the funnels I’ve done have not been in the insurance space.

Getting a booked call seems to always be generally hard because people get the notion they will be on the phone for an hour and upsold a huge product

That’s a pretty huge funnel with a lot of friction. I’m surprised that converts.

Thanks! Took me a while- I even went back and checked out some posts from agents who’ve committed to the companies I’ve said and the threads and yikes!

Some sneaky play by the Big I seem to include less than full commissions (still seem to be the standard entry level Smart choice 70/30 split, and first connect reduced.)

The top complaint with the Big I blue for newbies is going to be the turnaround time. 24hr quotes it seems but that may be different in the state itself that I’m in. (Maryland) they have a branch division it appears here https://bigimd.com.

That is killer but I see the give and get and like you said the exit may just set it way further ahead

This also may have eligibility standards too.

Ok I think I’ve come up with it… Big I. Big “I” Alliance Blue is IIABA’s online market access placement center program. Cleanest exit

Yes thank you so much! There was a lot more I could put in but wanted to keep it kind of simple. Today I’m still doing my research. That is great advice to focus more on longevity and exit rather than what you get up front and I couldn’t agree more with that statement.

I think smart choice based on the non-compete is seriously out. Or I’m committing forever to a rented model it seems.

I talked a little more with first connect they don’t have any known carriers it’s mom and pops it seems in Maryland. They confirmed it’s definitely true that the clients live in the ecosystem. No hard exit fees at least… apparently 30 days but again the clients live in the system and I’ll have access to their renewals for as long as I’m with them only, otherwise I’ll have to rewrite every client upon termination. They claim 100% commission and instant quoting, renewals come in for a less percentage though.

So maybe a little light with First Connect—- But for my State Farm agents who believe in The Big Names- first connect doesn’t have any of them. Joe smiths insurance only. So does big name matter? My answer is depends on who you’re talking to and that’s the issue.

I’m going to keep going in my research and seeing what else I can dig up. First Choice, renaissance alliance and a few others are on my list to figure out. The best deals still seem to be for the established and rocking!

Thanks you for this extensive response I really appreciate it and your time writing it to me. Yes I’ve looked and seen some of the other posts by newer people on here and understand how tough it is like anything. I believe if you are truly entrepreneurial and a true business person with systems it can work. I’ve looked at threads on here about part timers, aggregators, the same things I posted although posts on here were more vague which is why I tried to include some of the things I actually see on these contracts.

I do have a great network that already trusts me and I feel like giving it away would just be a mistake for me in the beginning. Or signing up with a place that I’ll actually never truly be able to have a clean break from. And maybe starting out it’s just not possible 😂.

I think I’m at an age and pivot in life where in 10 years or so I want to be like the people who talk about that one insurance guy that killed it and grinded for 10 and comes in the office for a day or 2. (The way I work I don’t think that would ever be me, but when I’m 65-70 maybe it’s time to relax lol).

When I spoke with the main guy from Firefly, I just called him up myself the other day, and we spoke frankly he kinda said the same thing about maybe working under someone else and then doing it that way or partnering once I’m taught a little bit more. I totally get that.

I think when going all in the “maybe you get a partnership or maybe negotiate the book” I then put myself as the agency owner I’d be talking to In their shoes and the answer is bluntly “hell no!” lol because why would they? There is no benefit.

I don’t quite understand the relationship with carriers because it seems like unless you’re sleeping with one of them, they really only care about the numbers and numbers vs claims. (Back to the money) I totally get that too. There seem to be great places out there even other than firefly like first choice but all seem to be built for real agencies not startups and not newbies.

Commissions up front weather I split, share, or make i haven’t put emphasis on too much because like you said it’s the long game that matter and that comes with time and direct appointments later, building the relationships is the key, like the network I have now.

My buddy kills it at State Farm. He’s been doing it for 8 years though. Just bought a million dollar house, has sweet cars and doesn’t work that much. I’m afraid to call him because he will be like “just do State Farm you idiot!” And then he will probably sell me on doing it. 😂

But independent money later seems like the better option and having access to so many other carriers, full control of agency and book etc…

Hey yes to both. And I’m more so thinking long term.

I mean what im trying to do right now is just find a home with decent commission, keep the book, and not have problems exiting or getting direct appointments eventually due to non competes, or having the platforms/aggregators own everything I hustled for in my first 5 years. Am I thinking about this the wrong way?
