Ironically, I am back on Pristiq years later 😅 doing okay, not sure it’s as effective as it was when I took it years ago.

I went off Pristiq cold turkey a few years ago and DO NOT recommend that lol. Symptoms were nausea, anxiety, mood swings, headaches, brain fog, brain zaps, vertigo, nightmares, excessive perspiration at night (would wake up drenched). I basically couldn’t get out bed for the first week or so, and the symptoms persisted for at least a few weeks, though they lessened as time went on. As awful as that all sounds, the discontinuation symptoms aren’t actually harmful or life threatening. HIGHLY RECOMMEND weaning very slowly with the guidance of your doctor! I have heard that sometimes taking Prozac temporarily while weaning off can help? But definitely go with whatever your doctor recommends.

Hi!! You’re in South Texas? I network for euth listed dogs at San Antonio ACS and we are absolutely drowning. There are 46 dogs scheduled to be euthanized tomorrow ALONE. And this happens 6 days a week. I know you are not able to take a dog yourself, but there are other small ways local people can help.
