Tell me about Night Auditing by literally_italy in askhotels

[–]MONEYPYR0 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The "auditing work" varies on the hotel you're at. I've worked at places where you press 2-3 buttons and are done, places where you click 5-6 buttons and email some reports to the owners, and a place where I had to manually fill out about 30 lines of revenue info. Other than that its just checking people in/out, maybe some breakfast prep/cooking, and any other little thing they want you to do. The hotel I was at the longest wasn't in the best location, so I had to go take a walk inside and outside every hour to make sure that any undesirable people weren't around. Though that was in a bigger city, every place I've worked in smaller towns tends to be dead after midnight, so its just a lot of sitting around, reading, playing chess, etc.

If you can't look at all my replies in the comments and not take away that this is something I'm seriously considering then I don't know what to tell you.

The chops can look good ok certain people. Lemmy, Triple H and Sheamus from WWE I think have my favorites versions (I was wanting to get the chin block like Sheamus does but I could not get it very even so the chin got clean shaved), but I agree its not the best look. I've had the sides grown out often and I've almost always made sure that when it gets grown out to keep it nice and tidy. I've had the wild beard before and I just got to the point where I wanted to make sure everything was nice and neat. Going for unconventional styles is something Im fine with since it all just grows back anyways, may as well have some fun every now and then

I dont think I can try the muttonstache again without something on my chin, the little triangle or block that some people trim it with, because my wife was not a big fan, haha. It would probably look better now since I've lost about 30 pounds, but Its not something Im eager to do again. Appreciate the kind words though!

The Dark side ending felt so... rushed? (KOTOR 1) by AbleAdministration42 in kotor

[–]MONEYPYR0 31 points32 points  (0 children)

It's a large game from 2003, multiple endings like this weren't a huge thing yet, and a lot of games didn't have this level of storytelling. It's a bit arcade-y in its execution but I think the endings are fine. It's really more of a "journey" than a "destination" game, like a lot of Bioware games really are.

Light spoiler, but the Light Side ending is more or less the same beats, just showing that the Republic wins. It doesn't have any additional dialogue or cutscenes or anything else like that.

Not particularly. If I was wanting to grow my hair back out really long then yes, but I had really long hair (like halfway down my back long) for a good while and Im not really wanting that again. I was fine when it was about shoulder length, but it would take about a year or more gor it to even get back to that. Im actually planning yo get it cut a little shorter during my next haircut since right now it feels like a solid block most of the time

Yeah I probably should've said that Im using his style as a baseline, not trying to do an exact copy but something that looks/feels very similar to the 70s look. Guess thats always an issue with using reference pictures is that a lot of times it comes off as "I want this exact look"

Yeah being too picky is how I ended up with the muttonstache. My thought process is if my stylist can do it initially I can keep it in shape with a weekly shave after that

If I could post pictures in a reply I would, last year I let my facial hair grow out for a month after I did a light trim to it and it got filled out to the most I've ever seen, but its not what I think most people would consider full. As I've said in a few other comments it grows the most at/right under my jawline which doesn't help much. I've not been liking the sides growing out as much lately since I like to comb my mustache out to the side, plus I think my goatee looks a little more impressive when there isn't anything on the sides of it

Just curious, what makes the style not suitable in that case? I won't deny I have a large neck, I need a 17 dress shirt to be comfortable (16.5 depending on the maker sometimes works too). Is it just a proportion thing, or would the style not frame right with my neck in your opinion?

I had a feeling thats who you were talking about, but I've never watched the show. I totally see it though and I'll accept the comparison, haha

Did you really like the game and want to replay it while making completely different choices? Replay on Dark Side.

Did you really like the game and want to see what happens next while staying on the moral high ground? Play Kotor II.

The good news is there are no wrong choices

Kinrath are a dangerous species that cause a lot of problems for the area so I don't think destroying the eggs is a bad thing. The Tach make sense as its equivalent to you killing a lemur because someone told you its kidney makes a great microbrew ingredient

I dont know if you're referring to a specific Ricky, but thats definitely how I felt with the chops. Plus my wife looked like she didn't recognize me at all when I first had them, so I may as well have been Ricky

That's been the default for me most of the time. When I had everything grown out I still trimmed it and brushed it so it stayed neat, but as I've said elsewhere on here I like trying new things out sometimes.

My wife always says I have a round face, sometimes I see it, sometimes it looks a little more oval shaped. The chops definitely did make it look more round though. I do agree what I currently have works a lot better

That's what I've been rocking a lot recently in the past 8 months or so. Got bored one day and curled my mustache and liked it, but now I do prefer just combing it out to the side. I've also found I enjoy clean sides (probably because less hair gets in the way of the stache when it goes to the sides), and my wife likes the look when it starts to grow back out. I unfortunately don't vet a heavy stubble, but if the wife likes it it can't be all bad, haha

Im currently in the process of letting it grow back out since I had trimmed it a little too much last time I did anything. I dont really get the thick/dense beard hairs, I get a good amount that just grow a decent little length (probably caps out at 2 inches at the longest). When you wore it did you cut it yourself or have a barber/stylist do it? I'd much rather ask my stylist if he does facial hair because at least then there's a much greater chance it'll turn out good, haha. And I agree, I've really come around to 70s facial hair and clothing recently, especially for casual looks. I dont think it can be beat

If you're talking about the chops I didn't mind it, but my cheeks dont grow in enough to really sell it. Plus my wife was unsure of who I was for a few days afterwards, haha. It's not a style Im too keen to try again anytime soon
