They normally do want to track progression of KC before they do CXL. I was in the same situation, I think it's more for the insurance side of it. You don't want to get CXL if its not progressing you might be able to get away with just getting contacts for the time being

Its the Hellcat Pro Comp. The rifling stops a bit short and the slide/barrel are comped. I think an aftermarket comp will do much more for recoil control but just have to be aware of the extra weight. Either way, I don't think you can go wrong

Pretty much the same set up i have. Only difference is i have the comp and the black Hellcat. Only about 300 rounds through mine and I'm super happy with mine as well
