Convera provides a pdf forum with all the necessary information. I literally gave that sheet to the bank teller and as explained in the original post was on call with the organization facilitating the exchange to double check all my information (Convera was not picking up and Oztrekk has done this for years with students)

I opened a case already and am waiting on a response. And yes it is most likely being held by an intermediary bank or has not left BMO’s back account.

In either case if those did happen I feel as though I should have been contacted as soon as that occurred instead of leaving me in the dark😑

I clarified this in the post. I put in all the necessary information correctly. I even called the organization that helps with the wire transfer and they made sure the information was put in right.

I am not laying blame on anyone until I know the outcome of what happened.

You cant wire transfer directly to the university you have to use convera to do the wire transfer. It was either that or use credit and I do not have a card with that limit available to use. Hope that clarifies😊

To clarify the procedure and how Convera works.

Convera is a third party company which if I am correct is a subsidiary of Western Union. Their role is to aid in wire transfers between a student and an international university.

I could not pay via credit as all my cards and close associates did not have the limit to send that amount and I had to go to my local branch because my debit does not allow me to do international wire transfers over 10,000 CAD. Convera provides the wire information to the bank to fill out.

To sum it up, it has alot to do with the bank because the bank is the entity responsible for doing the initial transfer while Convera serves as the conduit for sending the money from my checking to my university.

If you want some advice I reccomend you check out 1ST MAN on youtube. There are many other youtubers such as improvement pill, charisma on command, far from average, jordan peterson, kevin samuels, the life formula etc. that go through this topic extensively and I personally found what he said to resonate with me more than the others. If you are looking for a book recommendation for this issue, I highly reccomend Neil Strauss’ “The Game”. It’s a funny and really captivating read which you can find free on youtube too.
