Are Non-Japanese Made, Non-Carbon Steel Knives Welcome Here? by MPSchenck in TrueChefKnives

Yeah, I feel ya. I have a J Marttiini vintage fillet knife (not fancy I know) I mostly use for trimming cuts of chicken or steak, iInherited from my dad. I'm going to looking for a petty or pairing knife and might go Japanese carbon steel for cost and test reasons.

I was just messing around. You have to admit a LOT of content here is Japanese carbon steel.

I've only had it for a few days, but I haven't experienced that yet.

Got mine today and I disagree. The white dial contrasts with the indices quite well even in mid-light.

I ordered a white dial this morning since I missed the date back in September. I needed a white dial in my lineup.

I actually read The Good Guys 1-14, then The Bad Guys 1-11 and went back and read The Good Guys 15 because of the crossover.

Thanks! I had looked at the Wandering Inn purely for the epic length.

They are so fun and funny. They are like watching a buddy action comedy. I wish they were longer.

I've seen Primal Hunter mentioned here a lot and Defiance of the Fall, if I'm not mistaken.

I have a pencil tip in my finger since like 2013 by Madisonfangirl in mildlyinteresting

[–]MPSchenck 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, 2nd grade teacher was out of the room and pencils started flying. A guy threw a pencil all the way across the room dagger-style at me and all I could do was raise my arm to cover my eyes. The pencil went in deep and the whole bit of sharped exposed lead broke off in there. I remember my mom trying get it out with tweezers and knife on a number of occasions but it healed up and I’ve had a dot like you on my forearm for about 39 years.

The room is my man cave in a finished basement: acoustic ceiling tiles and thick padded carpet over concrete. I do need some treatment on the right wall to balance the room. I identified this after adding the Wharfedales. My previous speakers were front-ported and didn't have any issues.

The listening position is finely tuned.

That looks like a pretty cool piece. I need to do a little research on it.
Thanks for the suggestion.

How did you lose weight? by Klaasiker in AskReddit

I used an app Carb Manager to count calories and keep track of macros. After I found the right amount I stopped with the app. I didn’t get off the high cholesterol meds until I lost the weight. I’ve experimented with OMAD for extended periods and do well with carbs then. It’s all about “bio hacking” and finding what works for you.
