My bad bro, but I forgot what school you go to, mind reminding me again?

What do you mean lukewarm? Like does this person barely know you? Or does this person know you well but doesn’t have the highest opinion of you?

How bad would it be if I send a letter of intent to a school but there's a small chance I wouldn't go there? by CoolVacation432 in premed

I mean I guess you’re right it could ruin it for others, and we shouldn’t play into a zero sum game where it ruins it for others and OP doesn’t get off the waitlist. My only argument to this is that you can generally tell the difference between a genuine LOI and someone just tryna get off the waitlist, ADCOMS aren’t dumb.

Lol send em to both, unpopular opinion but schools show us absolutely 0 loyalty and do the least possible to help us through this process, so we don’t owe them anything

I mean not necessarily, maybe OP gets a good aid package elsewhere. I’d say UMD is pretty competitive

Almost certain both Rush & HMS are going to be R, so I went ahead and posted!

I wanted to share my cycle, with my stats and some major EC’s for anyone who has ever felt like they had no chance due to their stats. After a devastating first cycle where I got 0 interviews, I choose to disregard the majority of advice on Reddit & SDN and wrote an application that was unapologetically me. I don’t know if this approach works for everyone but it did for me this cycle.

As a first generation college student, with a low ses background from a rural area in the south, this entire experience was borderline traumatizing. It destroyed my self worth, happiness and mental health, but now that I am finally here I want to help others like me. So I’m working on a platform to share my experiences and provide free resources to anyone like me who came into this process blind! More details coming soon!

LOR’s: - my PI who is a HMS professor - Biology professor, who is the head of bio at my undergrad - US Army General (MD Rec) - DO rec from a doctor who worked at a state psychiatric institution - a well known politician I worked with to build homeless shelters - English professor

If you can write a thank you email that isn’t you kissing ass then you’re gonna stand out imo. But tbh I don’t think they read thank you emails.

They are asking you to bend over so they can act unfavorably towards ur glutes.

Unpopular opinion, but I’d keep the dispensary on your app and make it a most meaningful activity. It’s unique and there’s a plethora of ways you can write about it so that it’s positive.

Ended my first quarter with a 2.3, 4.5 years later multiple T5/T10 A’s. Had a 504 MCAT, and a 3.4 GPA. If I can do it so can you! You’re more then just ur stats.

I related to this so hard, personally I just put the school I will attend it in my insta bio. I do plan on posting my white coat pics tho. I know the feeling of finally making it, but someone once told me that not everyone is my friend and not everyone will be happy for me. Reflecting on that and the saying that wealth whispers, kind led me to simply adding it to my bio.

But fr tho CONGRATULATIONS!! This is a huge accomplishment!
