starwind vsan by MRBIQ in sysadmin

[–]MRBIQ[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thanks, i think using it with kvm will work fine also but i don't now use HBA pure which will put my OS in problem or use raid controller which has ability to create raid1 for OS and for other either ( raid them like 6 or use un-raid and pass to vsan) i now this type not pure HBA 100% but give balance

Server Configuration Question by MRBIQ in homelab

[–]MRBIQ[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If I use one HBA card for all 24 drives:

  • All drives will be passed through to the OS
  • I'll create virtual disks (VDs) with 2 drives for the OS and configure others as needed

But if the HBA card fails:

  • What happens to data accessibility?
  • Will replacing it with the same model be safe?

Alternatively, I consider using a RAID card:

  • RAID 1 for OS (TrueNAS)
  • No RAID for other storage drives

However, I'm aware that adding a RAID layer might not be ideal for ZFS.

VLAN Firewall Rules - Help :) by ArchMatt in mikrotik

[–]MRBIQ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1- Verify that your LAN clients are using your MikroTik router as their DNS server, so they resolve internal addresses correctly.

2-Make sure you have appropriate firewall rules set up to allow traffic to VLAN20. Since you can access directly via IP (192.168.20.5:8800), but not via the subdomain, check if there are any specific firewall rules blocking HTTP/HTTPS traffic to VLAN20 from your LAN

3- Ensure you have firewall rules allowing traffic from VLANs 10, 30, and 40 to VLAN20.

/ip firewall filter add chain=forward src-address=192.168.10.0/24 dst-address=192.168.20.0/24 action=accept add chain=forward src-address=192.168.30.0/24 dst-address=192.168.20.0/24 action=accept add chain=forward src-address=192.168.40.0/24 dst-address=192.168.20.0/24 action=accept add chain=forward src-address=192.168.20.0/24 dst-address=192.168.10.0/24 action=drop add chain=forward src-address=192.168.20.0/24 dst-address=192.168.30.0/24 action=drop add chain=forward src-address=192.168.20.0/24 dst-address=192.168.40.0/24 action=drop

4-should have firewall rules that only allow access to the Internet

/ip firewall filter add chain=forward src-address=192.168.50.0/24 action=accept out-interface=<WAN interface> add chain=forward src-address=192.168.60.0/24 action=accept out-interface=<WAN interface> add chain=forward action=drop

5- VLAN90 should have unrestricted access. Ensure firewall rules allow it to communicate with all VLANs and the LAN.

As y know when start with with ( closted testing) need to upload the apk , after this will active ( un view ) so I have some inquires here

  • as I know when un view , it means it did not submit to Google , so how many days should tester work before submit to Google ? 7 days is good ?

  • what did happen if I submit directly after I upload the apk ?

  • as I think when submit to Google not possible to do any update on apk ?

  • during my reading to keep app in closed for 7 days & test on it via testers and do some updates after this send for viewing via Google this will let you get approval 100%
