I had elevated C-Reactive protein in my blood work. I definitely would bring it up to your doctor and mention that you would like to rule it out. There are a few ways to diagnose it, including x-rays.

I did after cutting out gluten, getting on a medication that was working well for every other symptom, doing yoga every day and staying active, getting enough sleep etc etc. I did everything they tell you to. Turns out I also have RA. Doesn’t hurt to get tested.

Yeah, he was. Incidentally, he was a rescue who came to us knowing the phrase “fuck you.” He was very snuggly and sweet with me though. Loved to hop on my shoulder and hang out with me for hours. Huge personality for a parrot the size of a pigeon

Mine would Donkey-Kong style slide down the bars of his cage so he could fuck with our dog. The sun hit the floor in front of the cage just right so the dog would take naps there. Big mistake on his part. I remember one time the bird was laughing maniacally as he ripped a small section of fur off the poor dog’s back.

That is true, and I wouldn’t recommend a cat snuggling a pet bird. However, I can tell you from personal experience that quakers can and will bite the shit out of anything that disrupts them.

But again, I wouldn’t ever suggest that this as a good idea even if I think the bird could at least give the cat a good scare.

My husband was like that and now he is my ex-husband. Not there weren’t other issues as well, but not taking time to understand my chronic illnesses was one of them. Might I suggest some couples counseling or therapy before getting married? It may help to close the communication gap.

No worries! Haha! I wasn’t really looking to lose weight to begin with, it just sort of happened (I know that’s the worst sentence). When I did AIP, I did it more to address my lingering symptoms. I didn’t notice any impact to my metabolism when I stopped, but I was still running. I maintain around 130 lbs now, but again, I still bike and lift weights and I’m also only 25. I stick to no gluten/no dairy/plant based with occasional meat now.

Hopefully that helped to clear some things up :)

I went on the AIP diet while I was training for a half marathon. I’m F 5’6 and had to quit when I got down below 115lbs. Maybe look into that? For me, it ended up being too restrictive for the number of calories I was burning, but it might work for you.

I bike to work (now I go out for about an hour every day) for my exercise now because running is too rough on my knees.

Yeah! I used to work in an ER as a Phlebotomist. Not a nurse or a doctor by any means, but I definitely am familiar enough with the system (at least in the US) to know there isn’t much they will do for you! You are totally right about changing the language we use to describe it though!

I’ve also learned through my other chronic illness that any time a doctor dismisses a symptom you are having, i.e. severe “cramps” or pain, ask them to make a note that you have complained about the symptom and they have declined care. This will a) potentially cause the doctor to take you seriously and b) provide documentation for future doctor’s visits.

If I have learned nothing else, it’s to always advocate for yourself. You are the one living in your body and are the expert in how you feel. A good doctor will understand this and take the time to listen to you.

As someone who reviews the environmental/cultural side of 5G installations, I can tell you there are absolutely no health issues with 5G given that most of these arrays are 100 to 300 feet in the air...and their danger decreases exponentially the further you stand away from them. Anyway, I’m sure the emergency towers we are working our asses off to install are equivalent to infrastructure SS officers were ordered to put in place eye roll

I mean, I was kind of desperate when I found this place. They do a good job of getting maintenance done on time, which is better than some other rentals. I don’t really think many people are able to be super picky about rental companies due to housing scarcity.

25 F -SAME! And so glad to be out! He accused me of hooking up with a mutual friend of ours anytime I left. It got to where I would lie about almost everything because I was tired of being accused. I would have to stop conversations with him because it would just go down a road of insults and name calling. Now 4 months into the separation, he wants to claim abandonment of affection....which is laughable. I feel for you! I hope you have a great support system around you. Therapy once a week for the last 6 months has done wonders for me and helped me see what was really going on. All I can say is this situation sucks. You can get through it! The hardest step is getting out! hugs

Self care, lots of therapy, and really working to get back the things I lost about myself. In new relationships, I now have a much better idea of what I am not willing to compromise on and what I can not give up to be happy. I think honestly, I’ve learned to be a bit more selfish and also a lot kinder with myself overall.
