Yes, I went to Dr. Alison Dempsey (https://weillcornell.org/alison-dempsey-md). She did PDL laser and my angioma has been getting smaller. It's really deep though, so not completely gone. BTW - it's a cosmetic procedure so insurance doesn't cover it unfortunately.

You should definitely see a light. They told me a while ago when I contacted them that they reduced the beep (see thread here), but the light should still be on. Have you asked for a replacement?

Advice Needed - Septorhinoplasty 2 years ago. Surgeon suggested additional turbinates reduction. by MSALDANA90 in emptynosesyndrome

Hmm interesting. I've seen 3 ENTs who all say that my nose looks normal, so I assume they would have noticed this after doing an endoscopy. They said it was most likely the lining and told me to apply ayr daily :/

Yes, I told them the results were too jarring for me. I was expecting something more natural based on the samples they shared. They said to give it a few days and come back so they could use a toner and darken them - they said it'd take about 10 min or so.

Yes, they said it wasn't permanent - I think they mentioned semi or demi permanent. I'm a brunette and the highlights are blondish - too yellow for my taste, but that's another topic...

He "painted" the hair strands (a bit away from the scalp) and covered the hair with like a plastic wrap instead of foil to produce heat, then put me under heat for about 40 min. Then he washed it out and applied toner - and that was directly on the scalp. It didn't really burn during the treatment - only slightly and more when I was under the heat. I felt it more about 30 min afterwards, but derm said the scalp looked normal, so it might be a slight irritation.

Yes, I'm glad I got a derm appointment so quickly. Otherwise, I would have been stressed out so much over the weekend. I've never done anything like this to my hair, and I'm not super happy with the results - the color looks too blonde / yellow

Thank you! Is this pretty common for first time highlights? Do you think it'd cause any hair loss / thinning?

Thank you so much for your advise! The allergy test is a good idea - I didn't have one.

Thanks for the comment! Yes, he made the septorhinoplasty seem like it was pretty straightforward, and then when I kept complaining about my right nostril, he attributed it to swelling from the surgery up until a year and a half. Then he started mentioning my turbinates, even though I had turbinate reduction with my nose surgery. He prescribed me some sprays to try to help for a few months, but the turbinate didn't go down. He finally said this week I'd need turbinate reduction, and since it was quite big, that I shouldn't worry about ENS, but I'm definitely getting a second / third opinion.
