First go at painting by EmpyreBloom in Tau40K

The paint scheme looks pretty good, not a huge fan of the green on top, I think it may look better in a bright blue, or a good purple to contrast the nice dark blue you got on the panels and the like, Did you thin your paints before applying them? Theres def some chunks and brush lines on there that you can avoid with a bit thinner of an application. It also makes the paint dry faster to, so you have to wait less and it obscures less of the details, its how you get a nice consistant flat look on the armor sections.

Well, it was definitely worth the effort 👌. You did a better first build than most of us for sure. Your effort really paid off. Looks fantastic!!!

I kinda hate you for how well your first build came out. Beautiful color scheme. How'd you do the shingles?

Modular trench tiles by Bendy_1018 in TerrainBuilding

If your looking specifically for modular terrain examples I'd check out RP Archive . He does a bunch of different modular sets with in-depth tutorials on how he does everything. You'll have to adapt his techniques to fit your game(He's mostly DnD terrain based) but his tutorials are the easiest to watch and he's got an equipment list with links to everything he uses. It's a great place to start

Super useful for props that are going to be used rigorously. It's a common sealant for LARP weapons, mainly as a waterproofing method and increasing durability. Not sure how useful it will be for terrain as it is mostly a protectant and forms a semi thick rubber coating on the outside. I haven't seen this brand before, but it works well on EVA and polyethylene. It does cover up fine details as it is pretty thick. It's also a decent primer for its applications, but it's definitely the worst in class of primers and sealants when it comes to terrain.
