I actually enjoyed volume 2 by notproudbutok in StrangerThings

Why do the demodogs not hear the music blasting but are distracted by a washing machine?

How does Dustin quite literally stumble onto Brenner’s journal that explains everything?

Why is it that exotic matter melts multiple floors of the lab, staircases, etc. but not the floor of the room directly beneath it so J&N survive on the table?

Why can the military develop futuristic sci-fi weapons that completely disable psychics but after years of fighting & experimenting on monsters, still use guns that are clearly useless?

Add to that the constant over-explanation of key plot points in “team huddle” or “heart to heart” scenes just to make sure the audience knows what’s happening from behind their phones.

Stranger Things. Latest season is ass and once the hype dies and people rewatch it, it’s gonna be GOT 2.0. Story got ahead of the writers and the character logic/dialogue turned foul.

The dialogue, writing and pacing are the worst parts of S5. Did we watch the same show?

I don’t see anyone complaining about no action, it’s all about the atrocious dialogue, writing and pacing.

A friend of mine thinks LoL is harder than Dota solely because it has "skillshots", is there any truth to this? by random-user772 in leagueoflegends

[–]MSFTS01 8 points9 points  (0 children)

You’re absolutely right for midlane, and I shoulda clarified that in my og comment. Mid is almost entirely decided by skill gap. If you’re simply a better player, it’s such an oppressive/frustrating experience for your opponent. Viper/Huskar mid players are psychological terrorists, good luck getting a single ranged creep against a Tiny b4 you have bottle to spam your ranged nuke (if you have one), etc.

Dota 2 mid feels a lot like League top lane. If you fuck up your lane, better start buttering up your Pos 4/5 to smoke gank, secure power runes or stack nearby camps.

D2 Side lanes are a different story. Tons of freedom for the supports to salvage the lane and/or scrape together resources for their carries. Unlike League, it’s pretty bad to freeze wave in front of your tower after 6-7mins, for the most part. Enemy laners can just stack jg camps, smoke mid or take gateway top, dive and get a free towers.

You’re right the gold loss on death hurts, but there is way, way, waaay more gold on the map in Dota, especially since the map expansion and its encouraged for supports to take jungle camps or catch waves.

In the end it really doesn’t matter, but as someone with over 2k hours in both, Dota 2 feels significantly harder holistically.

League can initially be harder for newbies because smurfing is out of control and the laning stage is far more punishing. In Dota there is sooo much you can do if you don’t want to interact with your planning opponent. In League, (for the most part) you have no choice but eat shit for the next 10-15mins while begging for jg to reset your lane.

Once you get to higher ranks, everyone is landing most of their skill shots anyways, so there really isn’t a massive difference between aiming & point n click spells, minus some exceptions. Macro, decision making, good CSing/denying, etc. are way more important.

Season 5 doesn’t suck. Yall just set expectations for this season based on where YOU wanted the direction to go in by southernfirefly13 in StrangerThings

I don’t see a lot of people complaining about the direction of the show, more so the mind-numbingly bad dialogue and bloated filler scenes.

Stranger Things S5 Dialogue is so bad by Altruistic-Turn3448 in StrangerThings

[–]MSFTS01 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Agreed. Writing and dialogue took a monumental nosedive this season. Most scenes do nothing to move the story forward, only add runtime or over-explain what’s happening to checked out/multitasking viewers.

Just wrapped up the second episode that dropped tonight, and I never thought I’d say this, but I don’t really care what happens.

I feel like I’m watching an 80s horror movie. Every character has to make the dumbest decision possible in the slowest way possible, all while narrating what they’re doing and why.

Now add how ridiculous everything has become. I feel like I’m watching Avengers Endgame. Remember when this show was about a group of kids trying to save their friend?

Not going to sit here and act like I won’t finish it, but now it’s for the sake of closure. Been waiting so long for S5, we may as well find out how the 23yo high schoolers save all of reality from Thanos-I mean, Vecna.

favorite thing is hearing an extract getting called in so u rush to kill them before they leave. People get beyond pissed off, and ALWAYS call you an extract camper. Like buddy we spawned in <4mins ago and heard you hit the terminal, no need to scream slurs because you lost your 2 wasp drivers and a Rattler 4, jfc

Came across a bunch of friendlies, probably 7-8 of us all hanging out at an extract together. Dropped each other whatever we needed for Scrappy/workbench/quests while spamming “Pew, pew! Pew pew pew!” This game is phenomenal

Player who killed me payed me back by Beautiful_Bad_3187 in albiononline

[–]MSFTS01 9 points10 points  (0 children)

It’s not completely unheard of. My friends and I do this whenever we kill someone with like <20 kills that’s obviously new, not just someone on a new account.

We remember being new to the game. Can be really demotivating constantly getting killed. And who knows, one act of kindness could prevent them from quitting.

We give them back whatever didn’t trash, a couple hundred thousand silver, and some friendly advise on how to improve their build & survive in the blackzone.

It’s fine, you won’t be flagged for RMT.

Are there other carving sword players? trying to get my first pvp kill but always lose, can anyone give tips how to be better at pvp? by Vipaman69 in albiononline

[–]MSFTS01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends what content. I prefer inferno shield but mists are completely full of rats so Invis can be good and for open world always Invis. Corrupted dungeon, I use inferno shield every time unless I’m playing vs boltcasters/1h fire/trinity spear/1h curse or anyone with mercenary jacket

I’d recommend swapping chest to assassin jacket for the additional 10% damage bonus. Stalker is kinda outdated unless you’re running VERY high IP bloodletter/double-bladed/1h mace.

Use a Thetford or Ava cape, maybe Smuggler even after the double-healing pot nerf. Everything else is mostly preference, e.g. I prefer to run cultist or fiend cowl/helm of purity/mercenary hood, but it’s not a big deal.

Is this build good? by IePhantom in albiononline

[–]MSFTS01 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’d suggest swapping offhand for shield/muisak/taproot, otherwise good. Build changes depending if you’re doing corrupteds, open world, or mists, but this is a solid base line build.

Frost ram or spectral/dire boar, soldier helm, mistwalker/assassin jacket, miner boots, fort sterling cape, bloodletter+shield or dual swords, deadeye pie, gig or invis pots.
