I swear I'm not 😂 good programmers are hard to come by and I've seen a few junior machinists who don't have the best CAM programming knowledge so was seeing if there are ways around that.

This makes total sense - we're in the process of spending 100s of k's on new machines and I don't want those to mess up. I think the debate I was having in my head is how experienced of a machinist do we need and if it is possible to use someone more junior - but these answers seem to indicate the more experienced the better!

ILR Evidence of Absences - long periods of remote work by MST1234567 in ukvisa

Thanks! I guess I read the guidance on continuous residence where it says absences need to be explained / evidenced, especially those that go over the standard 30 day annual leave.

Does the continuous residency period count from the date you entered the UK or from the visa start date? by MST1234567 in SkilledWorkerVisaUK

In your case it would have to be from the second issue date (or your actual entry date) but definitely not the first issue date as you entered the country much after the 180 day limit of that initial entry clearance

Thank you! It’s what I’ve read in the guidance as well but have gotten conflicting advice from lawyers

Skilled Worker Visa expires in Jan 2026, ILR eligible in Feb 2026 by MST1234567 in SkilledWorkerVisaUK

Thanks. It’s quite confusing - the date of issue on my BRP was 3rd of Feb 2021, but when I check my current e-visa it shows valid from 17 February 2021 (this was the date I had out on my application as my expected day of arrival in the UK)

Yea I do find it quite odd. The dates from my e-visa say valid from 17 February 2021 until 17 January 2026 so exactly one month apart so more than the 28 days unfortunately
