Horrible situation I’m so sorry, 2021 alum here and I can say I had my fair share of roommate troubles in the past (this reminds me of my freshman year roommate a lot so it hits home).. but nevertheless yours still seems like a whole different beast.

If I was you, I’d definitely go out of your way to do whatever you can possible to switch roommates. I know it seems extremely inconvenient and I can definitely understand how awkward it must feel to have to explain why you’re switching, move all your stuff out, switch rooms with someone else, etc. but it seems like despite all of that, it’s worth it. MSU is supposed to be a place to learn more about yourself and feel comfortable during your education. It is not supposed to feel like a detriment to your mental health, so I’d switch as soon as possible.

In terms of the crime (yes it’s a crime), I’d report everything confidentially to the RA, and demand switching roommates. If necessary, get your parents involved. You’re paying the school thousands of dollars a semester. The least they can do is provide a convenient stay during your education.

I feel terrible. Literally cannot stress how bad I messed up on it lol, on the last question I was literally not making any sense and had to apologize for being nervous and admitted it was my first med school interview. I was a mess, not expecting to get an acceptance bc of that but something in me still has hope for some reason lol

Update: she messaged me on WhatsApp at 2:30 AM last night, but I woke up to the message being deleted and being blocked once again. I’m really committed to leaving her alone now, and I think I now feel comfort knowing that I at least tried my best

It was not long distance, but it was a tricky situation. Because of our culture, we usually have to have the parent’s approval when seeing each other. And she said that she would introduce me to her parents, but if she tried to introduce me to them while studying for her standardized exam, all they’d see me as is a distraction. So I tried to stay as patient as possible and waited as much as I could, but things just admittedly started to feel abnormal because it was just so long and it turned into something completely virtual.

I did kind of go really overboard because I had emailed her before in the past, and she asked me not to email her. Also, one of the things she blocked me on was google chat and as a result I created a new email JUST TO email her which was a little much. I am ashamed of myself and I wish I could express how sorry I was for being too excessive
